I was a new patient and they were able to get me an appointment within minutes for a chipped tooth. Everyone in the office was kind and professional. Dr. Straus did an excellent job repairing my tooth. I will definitely be a returning patient.

I had to edit my review because after rectifying one situation I was faced with another whirlwind of confusion with "office support"

The disheartening part is the dentist and hygienist are great but my experience with office support which is the backbone of the office was filled with misinformation, miseducation, and emotions. I initially came in for Invisalign treatment and to bring my autistic daughter. Which the hygienist did an amazing job with her cleaning due to her special needs, this is another reason why the situation with the misdirected staff is upsetting.

3rd visit: I called into set up an appointment and I was informed that I had never been there before. After we got it cleared up that that they hyphenated my last name in which that was NEVER on my paperwork. They assumed and did as they pleased.

I came in for a cleaning and was told that the payment was 80.00 and at the end of my visit the price was higher than initially quoted. I paid with no problem, but I did need an explanation which was very vague. The office MANAGER told me that I had a cleaning and that’s the reason for the cost due to my insurance only covers 1 cleaning. I informed her that was incorrect, and she acted as if I was unaware of what I scheduled for myself this year. Instead of informing me prior to service they proceeded with misinformation that they claimed to receive from another dentist office. I explained numerous times that I only had extractions, but the office manager acted as if I was fabricating this entire story. Which was so confusing because I made the payment with no problem. The support went back and forth with me about what I called in and told her that I needed done until I left. I called back in to tell them I wanted to transfer my paperwork to another office and the OFFICE MANAGER was more than happy to get rid of me as a patient. I came in and asked why I had to pay that amount being that I had never had a cleaning, she claimed that the other dentist office informed them that I had a cleaning, which once again was MISINFORMATION and the other dentist office confirmed that they never told them that . That situation was handled, and they refunded my money the same day.
I came back to schedule Invisalign treatment. I was informed about financing options. I was also confirmed that I had 2,000 in benefits. I was in the process of comparing prices. The other two dental offices explained thoroughly. I called in to speak with someone I literally was told 3 different things in one day. The office manager told me I had 2000 in benefits, there was only 2 financing options, I was then told that I had a in office option, but it was up to the office manager and dentist, and the final straw was being told there was only 1 financing option and I had 1400 in benefits.

This is entire situation is NOTHING I wanted to experience today is my daughter’s birthday and im sitting writing a chapter over a experience that could’ve easily been rectified and restored. Sadly, all the negative reviews are about the office supporting staff and misinformation with payments which speaks volumes. I send love and light to those ladies because obviously there is something deeper going on or they either pick and choose who they are supportive to, which is even more so distasteful. I admire integrity, education, and honesty which I didn’t receive. I was treated as if I was uneducated and incapable of understanding how my insurance worked.

Im happy this happened this has became a great lesson to teach others to avoid. The staff is only as good as their support.

Always as pleasant of an experience as visiting a dentist’s office can be. I don’t hate it, and that says a lot! Everyone is friendly, i never have to wait in the waiting room for more than a few minutes and pricing is very reasonable :)

My daughter had a dental emergency and she had not been established as a patient yet however they fit her in so she didnt have to wait 3 weeks and be in pain. They got her in as soon as possible right after I called. My entire family goes here and we all love it!

Dr Kealin is the best dentist I have ever had. His assistants are all very friendly as well as his office staff. They all go out of their way to make you comfortable and help you any way they can. I would not hesitate to recommend Cape Girardeau Dental Care.
