No social distancing whatsoever! I stood outside. I have never had the tooth pain I have right now during this pandemic...what did I get....a high dose antibiotic. Really...do you think that Ibuprofen is going to help major periodontal gum disease?? Definitely won't ever go back there again...Dr.Karabus told me that I looked like I needed to go home and take a nap...how can I with all the pain I'm in...seriously!?!?! Extremely pathetic!!! I will never ever go back to this place!!!

Over two years ago, I left this office a 5-star review as the service I received at the time, I felt, was great. Dr. Boyce was attentive and the work I got done on that visit I stand behind. However, my recent situation has caused me to leave a 1-star review. In January of this year, I had to go back to have a filling checked out that Dr. Boyce had done two years prior. Dr. Coffroth, another dentist in the practice, saw me and discovered new decay around the filling and recommended a crown. Per my last review, I trusted this office and decided to move forward with the additional work. Over the summer, this tooth started becoming more and more sensitive and started hurting. I decided to go to an office closer to my house and, upon evaluating the tooth, referred me to an endodontist to have the tooth checked out for a root canal. The endodontist removed the crown and discovered my tooth was completely covered in decay and it was beyond the help of a root canal, and it needed extracted and replaced with an implant, if I wanted it replaced at all. Confused as this crown was only 9 months old, I decided to reach out to Summit Modern Dentistry to see what they thought. In the last week, I sat down with Dr. Boyce and Amir, the manager, and told them about my situation. Dr. Boyce reviewed the x-rays and told me that it appears the crown was not sealed correctly by Dr. Coffroth and this allowed for fluid and bacteria to get underneath the crown. These were his words to me, not my interpretation. This was frustrating as I trusted this office to fix my tooth and, due to my crown not being properly sealed, I lost my tooth 9 months later. Amir and Dr. Boyce said the best they can do is a refund of $384 or I can get an implant, costing almost $3200 and I would get $500 off. I paid $384 out of pocket for the crown, and my insurance paid a few hundred dollars for that crown as well. Collectively, that made over $650 for that crown between me and my insurance and they aren’t even willing to refund or credit that amount. They would only refund what I paid and they would pocket my insurance’s money even though Dr. Boyce admitted the work was not done correctly. I have since seen two other dentists who have told me that this crown was done incorrectly as well and I feel that a simple refund of my crown is not sufficient. If the tooth had been sealed properly and the decay would not be allowed to enter the area and run rampant for 9 months, I would still have a tooth. It makes sense to me that, due to an error by Dr. Coffroth, my tooth now needs replaced, and the dental office should cover it as it was their error, admitted by the owner Dr. Boyce. If I took my car in for an oil change and within a few months, my engine seized, and when I asked the facility if they did it correctly and they told me that, per the technicians notes, it appears the oil change was not done correctly, and this caused my engine to seize, I would not be satisfied with a refund on the oil change and I don’t think Dr. Boyce or Amir would either. The damage was done as a result of inexperience or negligence and it needs to be made right, whether it’s a tooth or car. However, it has become clear that Amir and Dr. Boyce, although admitting the crown was done incorrectly, are not willing to set aside profits to do the right thing. As I have been getting the run around with Dr. Boyce and Amir, I asked if there was another party I can call to resolve this. Amir, the manager of the practice, gave me his mangers information, Wesley, but I have yet to call him. I am still reviewing my options as to how to resolve this matter. Above all, I am disappointed in this practice for how they are handling this situation. The care I received in the past was great and I thought this practice was amazing. However, now that I am in this situation, it appears their true nature has appeared and it is just another practice that puts profit above patient care and doing the right thing.

My new office!! My dentist closed because of the corona virus and I needed to get in somehwere fast..i had a tooth crack and they got me in the same day I called. Kelly went over my insurance amd took the time to explain whst my plan did and did not cover. No one has ever done that before. I even got it on a print out.

The absolute worst dental care i have ever received, i can't chew on either sides of my mouth after fillings, and its been 1 month and a half and i went back 4 times to try ro get the issue fixed by Dr.Morris, so the last time i went to Dr. Boyce and was basically told it was my fault and Dr.Morris did a great job. My teeth were origanally fine i just went in for a 6 month check up i wasnt having any problems

First of all, let me say that I cannot praise this business enough. Especially Dr. Karabas. She is wonderful. Not only does she do a fantastic job, she will not try to rip you off by doing a procedure that shouldn't be done. If you need a more serious procedure done , she will tell you and not just take your money for doing something that shouldn't be done. She will send you to the right person. She is the best and I would give her the highest rating possible.
