The best dentist I’ve ever been to! I’ve been a patient here for over a year. Dr does amazing work and the whole staff has been friendly every time I’ve been there. They all greet me by name and are willing to squeeze me in on short notice if needed. Dr is great at explaining treatments and is patient and gentle. He’s well worth the drive for anyone in the Kansas City area!

This is the best dentist I have ever been to. As a new KC resident I wasn't sure where to go for my dentist needs, and chose Dr. Guerschon De Laurent due to a convenient location. Now after visiting, I would drive and hour to continue coming to this practice as it was an amazing all around experience. You are greeted and immediately offered complimentary water and are able to wait in a quiet and relaxing environment. Once greeted by the hygienist, I was given a complimentary paraffin hand wax, and was offered to chose a movie for my visit. They were very thorough with my visit and made me feel very comfortable with the option for a massaging dental chair. I will definitely be returning to their office and I am actually looking forward to my next check up.

I went here once a few years ago and was not thrilled with my experience. It had been a few years since I had been able to see a dentist due to lack of dental insurance and the tech cleaning my teeth was so rude to me about it. I was essentially lectured on how I needed to get my teeth cleaned more often. I was also told that I needed a few crowns and onlays (not sure how that is spelled). I could not afford that at the time and was heading back to college so I didn't have any of the procedures done. I then saw a different dentist and was told there were just a few cavities. Nothing beyond a simple filling. I also have crooked teeth, nothing super crazy, just a few gaps and I felt like they were pressuring me into getting invisilign braces. If you have any insecurities regarding your teeth, don't go here. Maybe they've changed since I saw them. Probably not.

I have never liked going to the dentist from the time my adult teeth came in and my baby teeth didn't fall out until I started seeing Dr. Guerschon DeLaurent. I have very bad teeth from years of horrible acid reflux and other health issues which also hurt my teeth. I couldn't convince my last dentist that I was allergic to the metal fillings and I'd rather just pay for crowns. So I left and did a lot of research before coming here. Everyone was awesome, they were able to work around my crazy work schedule and help me with payments to get major cosmetic work done I'd been in drastic need of for my entire adult life. They also don't send out a ton of mailers or beg you for business like a lot of the local dentists. They send you reminders for cleanings and make sure you get all the work done you need scheduled. Very professional and everyone was really knowledgeable and wanted to make sure I was comfortable.

I would highly recommend Dr. De Laurent! He has a beautiful office, very knowledgeable and friendly staff, and a Dr. D is very skillful and trustworthy. They did my braces. I live two hours away and work a full time job where I cant take time off. They were VERY flexible with my visits making it easy for me to be seen and taken care of. It is always great when a office can work with you like that!

I went to this dentist a few years back, the staff was always pleasant and the office was nice however I chose not to ever go back after I was told I had 5 cavities in my mouth and that they all needed to be filled. Not having the money to do so I waited about a year before I had my next exam. I chose to go with someone different to have my teeth cleaned and examined. Come to find out I never had 5 cavities n the first place...I"m not sure how someone could make that kind of mistake but just be careful. I feel unnecessary dental work is offered just to make more money perhaps. Don't know why else anyone would tell me i have 5 cavities and in all actuality I have none.

I used a Groupon for my first teeth cleaning at Dr. de Laurent's office. I hadn't been to a dentist in about 7 years and had been looking for a good dentist to try. I was nervous, but the experience was great! They offer movies to watch and massage chairs during your visit. I wasn't patronized or ridiculed when I explained how long it's been since my last teeth cleaning. I went back for a filling and it was quick and painless. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful in making appointments, explaining the procedures, and discussing your financial options. I don't have dental insurance (a major factor in keeping me away from the dentist), but I learned there are payment plans and programs to help. I'm so glad I tried Dr. de Laurent's office to get my teeth back into great shape! I realize now that regular teeth cleanings are so important for good health. I highly recommend Dr. de Laurent for anyone who has been scared away from dental work.

I had major, rather complicated work done by Dr. de Laurent in 2007, and now would not trust my teeth to anyone else. I have had his work complimented on numerous occasions by other top dentists whilst I was living abroad. He is super thorough, will actually find and fix problems before they become advanced or painful— in other words, he will tell you what you NEED to hear, versus just what you want, and show the images and evidence why. (i.e. the reviewer complaining about needing a “deep cleaning”— it was probably true…)
As an uninsured patient, it is not the cheapest in town like the chain operations, but competitive with other private practice dentists in town that have the highest reviews. And, Like all things in life, you get what you pay for! Teeth are important, so it is worth the investment.
Lastly, amazingly painless, by using a multi-step technique that numbs it just enough to be effective, but doesn’t numb you in places you don’t need it, or for too long afterwards.
The private TV with DVD selection, paraffin hand treatment, and gratuitous use of laughing gas helps too.

Very Poor service!! I went to get a cleaning and was in the chair 10 minutes & charged $200. I missed my 6ms cleaning & went here because if convenience...bad decision. I felt really taken advantage of but decided to just not go back. I went to get a cleaning at another dental office and they could not even tell I had my teeth cleaned a week prior. Im in the process of emailing pics to my dental provider and contact the board. I found out I was being worked on by a dental assistant not a registered dental hygienist to add icing on the cake.

Dr. DeLaurent has been my dentist for the past four years!!! Great friendly service, even in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. I have been putting off some much needed dental work so as soon as the stay at home order was lifted I contacted Dr. DeLaurent's office. His dental staff assured me that they have taken all precautionary measures for my safety! Thank You so very much to ALL HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS!!! Great Job!
