Hello everyone I went on September 1 and I had to get a deep cleaning on my left side this time the first time I got it on my right side the dental hygienist is very thorough professional explains everything excellent I would recommend rock Hill dentistry to everyone they are really professional and know exactly what they’re doing. Also I really like my dentist the first day I went I had to do x-rays and they also do a thorough examination to find out if you have any problems with your gums which I loved when they did that overall the place is excellent I really like it!👏🏽🦋🌻🌸😃

First off I an upset over the second appointment cancellation with one day notice. Thankfully I answered and didn’t waste a trip only to find out they were too busy or their hygienist wasn’t in. It’s hard to believe that a dentist is actually concerned about your teeth and gums when they say you need to come in every 3-4 months, but then call to reschedule two appointments with a then one month wait. I declined the last rescheduling as I will find someone else.

In regards to the actual services provided. There was hard up selling the first time around recommending an oral surgeon visit. They never called as they said they would so I found someone else and they did a fantastic job.

Their teeth cleaning was probably the worst I’ve ever had and shame on me as I went back for a second visit before the latest scheduling debacles. I could still feel a build up on some of my teeth and they hygienist even acknowledged as much on the first visit. Mind you I hadn’t been for a long time due to Covid so I gave them a pass.

I will say this. They will have their salesperson come in to upsell you on additional services. Teeth cleanings won’t leave you with that silky smooth clean teeth feeling. On top of that they can’t get it together enough to schedule appropriately or give advance notice. People that have to plan and take PTO or worse yet unpaid leave to be told a day ahead of time beware.

Worst dentist I’ve been to in my life.

I went here for the cleaning and x-rays that were covered by my insurance. After the x-ray they told me they would only give me a special cleaning that was not covered by my insurance and was going to cost me $800 out of pocket. When I asked them to just do the normal cleaning since the special one was out of my budget, they refused. Every other time I’ve visited a dentist, they may advise me to get other things, but they still did a basic cleaning. Unfortunately, since they have already charged my insurance for an exam and X-ray I can’t go anywhere else now, and won’t be able to get a cleaning for 6 months. I can honestly say my oral health is worse because of my visit to this place.

A month ago I had trouble closing my mouth because my jaw felt blocked. I knew it was TMJ related because it had happened before, and I made an appointment with my usual dentist only to find out the day before the appointment that they had stopped taking our dental insurance this year. My insurance company referred me to Rock Hill as an alternative. I called the office and was told I couldn't be seen as a new patient until mid-February, which I understood because it's hard to get in pretty much anywhere these days, but that a scheduler will reach out to me to make an appointment. In the meantime, I paid out of pocket at a practice closer to home, and they were super kind and worked with me on charges. Thankfully for them I was able to get the emergency help I needed. (Shout-out to Healthy Smiles on Watson--very good and kind staff there. I'll be changing insurance at the next enrollment just to keep going there.) After two weeks of waiting the scheduler from Rock Hill still had not called, so I contacted the office again. I was once again told a scheduler would call. It has been two more weeks since I last called, and I still have not been contacted by anyone. At this point if they can't be trusted to make a simple phone call within a month's time I certainly don't want them working on my mouth. I'd almost give 0 stars if possible, but at least the people who answered my two calls were friendly.

I went to this office a few years ago and had a terrible experience- they kept messing up when using the x ray machine and they made me wait forever to get my teeth cleaned. After that, I told myself I wouldn’t go back. Unfortunately, this is now one of the few places my insurance covers. I tried to schedule an appointment but because I’m pregnant they refused to do a cleaning, stating that you need an xray to diagnose the appropriate type of cleaning to be done. I’ve gone to the dentist for all of my life and the cleanings have always been the same. I’ve also been able to refuse x rays in the past with no issue. I would not recommend this place and will not be going back (for sure this time).

Been going to this place for a few years now and kept giving them multiple chances but decided to switch dentists for reasons listed below.
- Multiple appointment reschedules by them
- Place is constantly changing management
- They schedule 8am appointments but that's when the team meetings are so you wait until 8:30am or later to be seen
- System kept kicking out my insurance and it was always a big deal for them to call insurance and confirm the same info. Happened the past 3 times.
- Facility is nice, clean, and top notch but service does not match.

I can only share my experience with Rock Hill Dentistry but I have to say my experience there today was excellent. Dave at the front desk was incredibly helpful and got in contact with my insurance company and got it all straightened out by the time I was done with my exam so I could make an informed decision on the cost of my procedure.

Dr. Mainhurst was kind and soft spoken and seemed very knowledgeable. The dental hygienist Jessica was absolutely amazing. She was very kind and reassuring and made sure I was in no pain when doing my deep gum cleaning.

I can't attest to the problems other customers have had with their visits at this office but I must say my visit this morning was stress free and I left there thinking how unusual it is to have a dental staff this attentive and hard working.

They were very professional at their work on pulling out my tooth and and bone grafting my jaw. I felt at ease and relaxed during the process.

I never thought I would describe a dentist office as delightful before today. The building was well lit and spotless. The equipment was modern. The staff were taking great measures to clean and sanitize everything, which is no small feat in this age. But none of that is what gets five star reviews. It's the people, and the people here are beyond. I have never met a practice full of such delightful, kind, intelligent, interesting, and professional people before. Literally every single staff member I met I can only describe as amazing. I went in for an emergency and walked out knowing I had found my permanent dental practice.

I couldn’t be happier with this dental office! Dr. Vargas & Dr. Bushing are both very nice and gentle, and anyone that has worked on my teeth here has been overly concerned with my comfort. Kennedy in the office is super nice and accommodating. I give it the highest review possible!
