Gentle Dental Reno

This location is simply no good. The first time I scheduled a teeth cleaning appointment, there was no hygienist present when I showed up (no one told me until I was in the chair…), so I had to come back later. This is after my appointment had already been canceled and rescheduled by Gentle Dental. The quality of the teeth cleaning I ended up receiving was not thorough and quite poor compared to those I’ve received at other dentists throughout my life.

I’m a laid-back guy so gave them another shot. I had an appointment scheduled for today, but was called two weeks ago and told my appointment today was canceled. No offer to rebook at another location…simply canceled. Then, last week, they called me AGAIN to inform me of the cancellation because someone neglected to record that I’d already been notified. Now no one will answer the phone to transfer my records to another dentist. Really, who has time to deal with all of this?

In summary: appointments are seemingly outsourced to a poorly organized call center, staff seem subpar and there aren’t enough of them, and they clearly don’t care about customers or their dental health. Classic big company that keeps costs low at the expense of the customer.

I have also been to the Sparks location, about which I have some of the same criticisms, but it is a little better and has delivered an overall average experience.

I recommend that you stay far away from the Moana location.

Absolutely the worst dentist I’ve been to. Took me three separate visits to get a cleaning and filling. Staff was dismissive and dentist felt inexperienced. Find a different dentist!

BEST dental office in Reno. My experience with them was by far the best I've had. My dentist Adam Crouse, he is phenomenal and super professional. He listens to the patient's needs and makes the best suggestions. Cailin and all Adam's staff were super helpful and understanding of my situation and went out of their way to get me in as soon as they could. This is BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE at its best and I am so thankful to Adam and his staff for all they did for me. I would recommend this office to anyone who is looking for a dentist that listens and has compassion for his patients.. After so many attempts to visit other dental offices and get the service I was looking for, this was by far the best decision and best place I went to. The dentist Adam, he went above and beyond to meet all my needs and I encourage anyone who is looking for a great dentist to visit with Adam at Gentle Dental. You will be pleased and happy with the results and dealing with Adam will convince you that he is THE BEST! My teeth look beautiful and clean! A million THANKS to Gentle Dental at 525 E. Moana Ln and Adam! :D

Front house staff are extremely courteous and very helpful. Nicole is a wonderful addition to the staff. If your appointment is at 3:30, you’ll be in the dental chair by 3:35. The back of house staff are excellent at their jobs and again are very courteous with a great sense of humor. I had many choices when I chose a dentist and am happy to say I chose Gentle Dental for myself and my family!!

I never written a review about a dentist before but this place is the best. I had a root canal and a crown placed and they did really well throughout the whole process. Dr. McGruder is awesome and Adam the hygienist was really thorough! I highly recommend this place.

Simply the greatest dentist I have ever experienced!! I have had a ton of dentists in the past and Dr. D and his staff are awesome! They make you feel welcome the moment you walk in. I get extremely embarrassed because of my teeth and I have horrible fears with any type of dental work! Well here I am 9 extractions later and feeling very grateful to this practice! Thank you to all of the Gentle Dental staff for helping me through this process!!

What a wonderful dental experience with Dr. McGruder, Adam the hygienist, and all of the staff members. Super friendly, knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable for my dental cleaning and fillings. I have recommended this office to my friends and family.

Amazing place! Navigating insurance as well as dental plans can be overwhelming, even embarrassing. The staff has always been patient and helpful and never judge mental about my long dental recovery needs and thanks to them, I am back on track and feeling great about my progress! They were even there for my child during an emergency and made the situation far less stressful. ❤️❤️❤️

I just had a tooth pulled by Dr. Hock and it went very well. Did not take all day and he was really cool. Tabitha and Manny were also awesome. I will definitely be going there from now on. The only thing I didn't like was my appointment was changed from 1130am to 11am without notice! Poor front desk work.

The staff is awesome, and I’m happy my insurance covers this place! I have dental anxiety and needed my long neglected teeth in shape before a six month backpacking trip. Eight filings and one tooth extraction later, I feel extremely relieved and confident to be eating my energy bars again. Thanks guys, it was nearly painless! Haha
