Plymouth General Dentistry

One year ago, I couldn't imagine going back to the dentist, let alone write a review about one. Everything changed when I walked into this place. Full of nerves and wondering what kind of painful horror I would go through once the exam started, I was shaking. I put off any sort of dental related activity for nearly 10 years after a horrible experience at a nearby office. The closest I came to going to the dentist was visiting the tooth care aisle at the grocery store to buy a new toothbrush.
That all changed after Plymouth General Dentistry was recommended to me by my family. My parents are patients there, and they raved about the place. From the first time I called for an appointment to the day I walked through the door as a new patient, they were just beyond wonderful. They were so welcoming, happy, and outgoing- I was wondering if that "happy gas" had leaked through the air ducts or something- they were THAT awesome!
At my first appointment, I was still a bundle of nerves. Thoughts of what COULD happen ran through my head. I thought "these people are going to laugh and suggest I get all of my teeth pulled and I'd be adding Polident to my grocery list"... but it was exactly the opposite. I was treated like royalty. They were kind, caring, and compassionate. They even commented how beautiful my teeth were. Beautiful? I couldn't even remember the last time I went to the dentist- the last time I was at one, it was full of painful poking around my teeth with the devil's hook tool, lectures about flossing, and everything negative that could ever come up at an appointment. But hey, I'll take the compliment from this place! I liked them already! At that time, my nerves subsided and the shakes disappeared. Fast forward to 9 months later, and I just enjoyed my third appointment at Plymouth General Dentistry- and I now know these awesome people by name.
They ask the normal stuff like "how's the family" and "how's work going" but then a zinger- "how's Sammy doing? She's way too cute"... My dog. They know my dog's name. And they remember my dog's name. Sure, she's adorable and just plain awesome, but for these great people to remember her name and ask about her? Simply amazing. Instantly, I feel as if I'm hanging out with my family. And they truly are an extended family- everyone is so nice, down-to-earth and low key. Now I am addicted to flossing and dental care- far from the times where the closest I ever got to the dentist was a new toothbrush and a fresh new tube of Crest. I even added them to my Holiday card list. Yes, these people are THAT awesome.
Bottom line- you deserve a practice like Plymouth General Dentistry. Everyone does. Dr. K and her outstanding team genuinely care about YOU. Sure, they care about your teeth and dental health quite a bit, but first and foremost, they care about YOU. The dental care aisle at the grocery store my appear to care and they do offer a great product, but do they ask you about your dog? No. They don't have these large ads in the newspaper or on TV, but seriously- does marketing help you to remind you to floss daily? The staff of extended Aunts and Cousins at Plymouth General Dentistry sure do. But they won't lecture you if you don't, or if you miss a few days. And that's what it's all about.
Take it from their patients- and not some catchy tagline on the Weather Channel: this place truly is the best. I am a non-paid spokeswoman :) - call for an appointment and see for yourself- it's the dental SPA on NH. And guess what? It really doesn't hurt to go to the dentist... at least it doesn't hurt at this place! THANK YOU, DR K and TEAM! You guys ROCK!

Dr. Kirschner is very professional and supported by a great staff. They made me feel very comfortable.

Thanks to Dr. Kirschner and the great women at Plymouth General Dentistry, I can smile again! I had cracked a front tooth and had called her office immediately. To my great relief, they fit me into the schedule that day, since the break was in the front and clearly visible when I spoke and smiled. The women in the office were nice and assured me that I would soon be looking back to normal. I have had fillings and cleanings by Dr. Kirschner and her staff so I knew I was in excellent hands.
When I was in the chair, Dr. Kirschner explained everything to me and gave me a mirror as she pointed out what needed to be done. Lisa, the doctor's assistant, reviewed the plan and options with me. Everything was transparent and up front, so I was confident there would be no additional charges.
When the crown that Dr. Kirschner made for me came back from the lab, she cemented it in my mouth. I was very happy with the look and feel. The color was a perfect match and there's no way anyone would think it was a crown.

I've never had such an enjoyable experience with someone politely dealing with my stubbornness. The professionalism and care that can read by any numerous reviews are an accurate portrayal of the business. They truly do care about what you want as opposed just seeing money walk through the door. The only time I left slightly unhappy was when I saw the figurehead projection of my own neglect, and even then I think if I had gone to a different dentist I would've have continued the neglect instead of fixing them. I couldn't be happier the treatments I've gotten so far. I'm actually happy going to dentist because I feel we're working together towards the same goal. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I am so glad I found Dr Kirshner! I had given up on dentist's after I had a bad experience from a dentist in the Lakes Region. The crown that was put in with shoddy dentistry fell out seven times over just a few years was fixed by Dr Kirshner. The new crown has stayed in AND I have no more swelling and discomfort from the tooth. I have been back for more dental work and cleanings and have been quite satisfied with my visits. Thank you Dr K for fixing my tooth and making me a believer that there are professional Dentists that care about the quality of their work and the health of their patients.
