i received my implant tooth but the color is off when you look at it in the real light.
Dr. Hong was very responsive to getting this issue corrected with a new shade of tooth.

TERRIBLE!! They are much more concerned with paying off their fancy equipment than they are taking care of you and your teeth. First off, they don’t start by cleaning your teeth. They have the dentist come in first to give the exam, which I’ve never had happen before. I saw Dr. Yang, who was condescending and unhelpful in explaining what it was he wanted to do. The gist of it was that he wanted to do $4000 worth of preventive work for a “slight case of periodontitis” including lasers. When I said I hadn’t noticed gum problems or bleeding he jammed the tool in my gums until it started bleeding in order to show me.. He gave me no options and said the benefits coordinator would come back to discuss my insurance. She proceeded to tell me my insurance was great and would pay for $3600, leaving me with only $400 to pay out of pocket. However, I know my insurance and that it would not be covered. I asked if she looked at my specific type of insurance as it was Delta but a ppo for a union. She said no, and that she could call. So, they told me it was covered without ever actually even checking. At this point I had been there an hour and 45 mins, so I got up to leave. I told her on the way out I was leaving, and she said she’d be in contact after talking to my insurance... she never called or emailed me. I saw another dentist who did not find it necessary for me to have any of those procedures currently, but gave me clear information about why I may have to have them in the future if I do not stay on my treatment plan. Please save yourself a headache and stay far away from this place!!!

Dr. Yang and his staff are wonderful. I read through the reviews and was quite surprised at the negative comments. We went to Dr. Yang based on a reference by a family member as she knew me and my son had some terrible dental work by dentist (who still currently practice in Albuquerque) and have been a patient of his for almost 3 years now. Dr. Yang has NEVER forced us to do any dental work and has allowed us to manage what we want done. He has given my son a brand new smile. My other son has just had cleanings done, has not needed any dental work by Dr. Yang do not sure why others would believe he is sucking the money out of the insurance. He calls and checks on his patients after a major dental procedure. Jasmine is awesome and Armando did the best cleaning I have ever had. As for waiting, cleaning and checks ups are a breeze, major dental procedures aren’t much longer than other dental offices but Dr. Yang takes his time to make sure things are done right. Crowns are made in his office, so you don’t have to get a temp crown go back for a permanent crown and possibly wait even longer if the crown wasn’t made right. Dr. Yang makes the permanent crown and makes adjustments as needed! Honestly over the last 3 years since we have been his patient we have never, ever had a bad experience and I have referred lots of people to him whom all love it here as well.

This is seriously the best dentist office I have ever been to!! The dental hygienist is the nicest person ever, and Dr. Hong is so charismatic and explains everything very clearly. I come across town specifically to come to this dentist. I never thought I'd love a dentistry this much, but if I could seriously take them with me every time I move I would!

MODERN DENTISTRY ROCKS! I was experiencing major tooth and gum pain. Thought I was going to have major dental problem. They did xrays and a thorough examaminations. I was so worried and scared. They determined it was a result of grinding my teeth at night. I have a broken leg. Dr Hong said injuries can cause issues with your teeth and my broken leg was a contributing factor to my teeth grinding. They fitted me for a mouth guard to wear at night. I WAS SO RELIEVED! I've been going to NE Modern Dentistry for over 4 years and they have always resolved all problems and continuously provide excellent advice for preventive care. Dr HONG has crowned several teeth and I have not had any problems with them. When you walk in the front door the front desk personnel make you feel at ease. They are warm, friendly and experienced. Dr Hong and the manager chelsey are amazing. Armando is over the top in teeth cleaning; lazer treatments and preventive care. He is so much more than a dental hygienist. He is a coach and is upbeat and positive in providing advice and recomendations. They take their time and explain everything in clear concise terms. Each experience has been painless.

I cannot say enough good things about the care they provide. KUDOS to this group of amazing professions!

Where do I begin. They gave me a return appt for 6 mos, for fillings. They had no notes what the appt was for and scolded me for not returning sooner for a cleaning. The dentist then upgraded my fillings to a cap. Then they harrassed me daily for 2 weeks for payment and I told them to wait for the mailed payment. They continued to call so I did a walk in payment. Guess what, my check was received and they cashed it, debiting my account twice. BUT it took them over 3 weeks to give me a refund. Hurry up and pay them but wait on them to pay the patient. And let's not put notes in the file so we can upgrade procedures. Poor and unprofessional service.

I first came to this dentist office with an emergency which they handled immediately. I have been coming back ever since and they do a fantastic job of caring for my teeth. They gently remind me of my need to floss without ever lecturing me. I have never had them offer to provide more care than is needed. Excellent Dentistry.

I have been going to NEHMD since I moved to town 7 years ago and both my kids have grown up going to this dentist office. I love that they see pediatric AND adult patients at this office so I can make all family appointments for the same day simultaneously or back to back. Also they can make crowns and have periodontal services right there in the office. So convenient and as always, the entire staff is very easy to work with. Highly recommend.

This place was great and the staff are so friendly. I broke my tooth and they were the first place I called. They were able to get me in the same day. Dr. Hong was calm, knowledgeable, and explained everything he did. He made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I would recommend this place and Dr. Hong to anyone. Definitely found my new dentist.
