Aspen Dental

I was seen very quickly. Less than 24 hours since my call. But I misunderstood the visit on the face value. I was under the impression I was getting a emergency visit. Not a assessment only.
They still were wonderful.

My first visit 4/29/2021 and everyone was great very polite and explained everything in detail from my dental needs to financial. very happy with Aspen Dental I will return.

I cannot in good conscience recommend Aspen Dental in Hobbs. Wife and I just needed our teeth cleaned. In previous dental visits, we set the appointment, the hygienist cleans the teeth, the dentist comes in to check and make any recommendations for further treatment.

We went here because we have been playing Dental Roulette in Hobbs since our arrival a little over a year ago. One place didn't clean enough, another got us so wet, we needed towels. One charged for services we did not authorize.

Because of the oil boom, getting into a dentist can be a six month wait, so I was pleased when they could work us in relatively soon.

We arrived, did the initial intake paperwork, then it was off to x-ray.
I will grant they did an extremely thorough job on the x-ray, but at no time that I can remember, was the large backing they used put in my mouth. After the x-ray, my mouth hurt.

Then it was off to the dentist for the initial exam. She is new to Hobbs and while pleasant and thorough, was difficult to understand.

Oh, the hygienist, she was out sick, so I was going to have to schedule another appointment.

After the dentist, it was to the inner waiting room before the consultation. During my consultation, I was informed I would be needing EIGHT Fillings, a periodontal treatment and other work totaling 2,300 dollars. Remember, I just wanted a cleaning which I now found out was not happening because their hygienist was not there that day.

My wife, after her initial x-ray which hurt her mouth as well, was told she was going to need a deep scaling, periodontal work and other services totaling 3,400 dollars. Remember, we just wanted a cleaning.

Wife did a quick Google Search for Aspen Dental and found this company routinely convinces customers they need services beyond what they have asked for and then billed large sums to them. They have been sued multiple times and many customers are very dissatisfied with their services.

Needless to say, my wife and I were very upset by all of this and the office manager/consultant informed me at the end of the visit, that nothing would be billed to insurance as the first visit was always free.

We were in the office over two hours, missed another scheduled appointment and arrived home well after dark.

I will be looking elsewhere for services, because we still need our teeth cleaned.

My husband's appt was awesome! The girls were so friendly, as soon as you walk in the receptionist greeted us with a smile and a warm welcome...the assistance's were so kind and caring finally at the end Mrs.Reynalds was wonderful,we loved her she was so caring and helpful!!!!!thank you Aspen Dental

Staff was nice and helpful. The dentist was very nice and explained everything she would need to do. I highly recommend Aspen Dental in Hobbs NM.

Staff is friendly, nice exam rooms and equipment. Dentist and front office staff is very pushy for expensive treatments and will not answer questions about how much something is only push for 2, 000 treatment options. Will go back but will not give into pressure to do treatments I dont want!
