High Country Dental - Rio Rancho

I chose to try this place due to the great reviews and proximity to my home. Five stars for the hygienist. She was pleasant, took her time and explained everything she did.

One star for the dentist who spent no more than 10 minutes in the room, probably closer to 5. I have no insurance and wanted her help with prioritizing the procedures she said I needed. She was hurried in general and dismissive when I asked my first question. By the time I managed to formulate a second pesky question she was already on her way out the door. Although she did stop and turn around to answer, she was clearly done with me.

A generous two stars for their prices. I compared their prices with two other dentist offices in the area using their “in-house membership” prices. For the same work their total was roughly 34% higher than the lowest.

In a nutshell, after the excellent hygienist I felt like I was just another widget on an assembly line focused on efficiency and profit. A conduit to the pockets of insurance companies. Oddly, as I was leaving, I was offered a gift bag that included candy canes. What dentist office gives away hard candy?

I was pleasantly surprised with my first visit. The staff is very pleasant. I have never been asked if I wanted something from the comfort menu (neck pillow, blanket, sunglasses) at any of my previous dentists. Love the technique they use for cleaning. Very thorough and they don’t pressure you to get work done that isn’t needed. They instead ask you what your preferences are. Highly recommend this office!!!

I love this dental clinic. I called to get in for laser treatment for a cold sore and they got me in within the hour to get my treatment. Knowing the urgency of my situation, they were very accommodating to me and were very helpful and friendly. I love this place. It feels more like a spa than a dental clinic. I love the staff, the music playing in the background and the decor. Everything about this place makes me feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend High Country Dental to all my family and friends. Great job to all the staff that helped me!

Outstanding staff, excellent doctors always making their patients feel comfortable. I couldn’t recommend anybody better. I am actually terrified of dentists, but I do not feel that way when I go there.

The whole team is amazing and very welcoming and understanding. Have had to cancel last minute before and reschedule my fillings the day of. They care about patients and them being comfortable. With a oral sedation procedure with me they were very patient and made sure I was comfortable the while time. I absolutely love this dental office! Wish I could rate this a 10/10! 5 stars is to little for this amazing office!

The entire staff is wonderful. They are very accommodating to make sure I can get an appointment without interfering with my job. I would highly recommend High country dental to any of my friends or family.

This is by far the best dental office I have ever experienced, the staff is awesome and the Dr’s are Superb! They have taken care of all my dental needs. It’s like one big family and they treat you like part of their family! Thank you all at High County, you’re GR8!!!
