Rio Rancho Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics

A crown came off and I did not have a dentist since moving from another state. A family member suggested I contact RR Modern Dentistry. They got me in quickly and put the crown back on. Dr. Hand made extra adjustments when I mentioned my bite had been off for years. It's now better than before it came off. Their patient portal is easy to navigate and very user friendly. I have a new dentist, yea! Everyone in the office was very nice and professional!

It's difficult to add something unique to what's been said already. This office provides the perfect combo of professionalism and warmth. They live up to their name as their equipment and diagnostic methods are beyond anything I've experienced before in a Dentist's office. They take their time in explaining your situation and recommended procedures. They will help with insurance matters and work with patients financially. My Dentist is Dr. Conner and I have confidence in his advice and skills. I have no hesitation in recommending this dental practice.

When I moved to this area, I found myself in need of a dentist and was fortunate enough to find Modern Dentistry very early in my search. It is an amazing establishment run by some of the most incredible and highly professional people. There is a welcoming feeling as soon as you walk through the door, with everyone being warm and friendly. The office is very high tech, with the latest 3D imaging equipment that I have rarely seen outside the radiology department in a major hospital. I saw Dr.Connor, who conducted a thorough exam and carefully explained what was causing my toothache – alas a mixture of traveling for three years and COVID had put an end to my regular attendance at any dentist. I was a little concerned at what the price for this treatment might be, but Dr Connor introduced me to Jourdan the Office Manager, who worked wonders with arranging insurance that very substantially reduced the cost to something that was very affordable. Jourdan spent a good portion of the afternoon working with me on this and I can’t speak too highly of all the trouble that she went to. All in all, I couldn’t be more pleased with Modern Dentistry and understand why this place is so popular.

Everyone in the office is very nice. They always answer the phone, find answers to your questions, and treat you with kindness. And due to my experience I will never be back.

ONLY ALLOW THE DOCTOR TO INJECT YOUR GUMS WITH NUMBING AGENT

I went in earlier this year because I hadn't been to the dentist for two years because of the pandemic. I had no pain or concerns, just know I needed a check up and a cleaning.

They stated I needed a crown on an old filling, a new filling, and a deep cleaning.

I started the process. After the crown was placed I was having discomfort. I came back in for a look-see. That's when things went south. I don't know which person it was, and they can't confirm who it was, but this technician, assistant, hygienist, I'm not sure. While they were very kind, they made a mistake and injected numbing agent into my muscle.

Having your gums numb shouldn't hurt. It should be a pinch, but it shouldn't make you want to scream. I have a feeling other staff knew about her lack of skill here - they kept asking if I was ok, if I needed more to feel completely numb, etc.

The process here lasted weeks. I was in so much pain I would cry all day. I could barely eat, barely sleep. Dr. Hand gave me an rx for medication which took some of the edge off.

My time at this office ended with a root canal.

The pain from this injection is still with me, though in less severity.

It will be a very long time before I go to the dentist again. And I'll definitely never come back here.

*to add insult to injury they took more money from me than they should have and now will be mailing me a check.
If you have a payment plan with them, ensure that it ends after you've paid your full amount owed.

This was my first time seeing Dr.Conner and his team, and it was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this dental office. They are very professional and high tech. It starts with the staff and how they all treat the patients. I have always been treated with respect. The Doctor and staff have always had my dental health in mind with every encounter. They are attentive Any time I have a question or issue. I could not recommend a better place for dental service. They are a modern dentistry practice.

I'd like to take this opportunity to put in a very good word for RR Modern Dentistry! I've been going here for a few years now and have had excellent work done on my teeth. Dr. Conner fixed my cracked front tooth so precisely that you can't even tell it was cracked to begin with. Desiree the Hygienist has done a fantastic job with my teeth cleanings. The front desk staff are always polite and helpful and the Dental staff are very compassionate and understanding of the anxiety and fear that many have when going to the Dentist's office. The prices have always been reasonable and I have always been treated professionally and respectfully. If you are looking for a place with top-notch Dentistry -- this is the place to go!

Dr. Conner has been my dentist for five years now. He is an expertly skilled dentist, compassionate doctor, and tremendous advisor who has assisted me with many difficult treatments that all ended with excellent results. He is the best dentist I have ever relied upon in managing my dental needs.

Dr. Connor and his assistants are always thorough and appropriately conversational while working on my teeth. I, like most, don’t enjoy dental appointments but the staff makes that experience so much better and reassuring.
