Pros:
You can book an appointment a week out
There are TVs above the chairs that my kids love
Laughing gas worked really well with my 4 year old - he didn't even need sedation, fell asleep right away!
Local
Accepts insurance
Owner personally called me when I had an issue once
Cons:
If you're more than 5 minutes late to an appointment they'll cancel it, so make sure to call if you are running late
There can be a long wait sometimes, so bring a book or something
Front staff can be intimidating

The receptionist who is at the front desk is definitely not polite. I simply told her I would like to reschedule my son's appointment she told me I will have to sit and wait. After waiting for 5minutes when I ask her how long is the wait she has an attitude and said she have three different things to do and it is a lot going on , I have to wait until she is finished. She is making it seem so though you all are over working her how long will it take her just to reschedule a patient appointment. Also I have been bringing my son to Healthy Smiles about four years now, he loves going there and the staff is always nice but this new receptionist that is there now she needs to know how to treat patients caregivers better instead of being rude to them.

The place is fine overall once you’re actually seen, but I’ve been here at least five times now and have been made to wait over 30 minutes each time I’ve scheduled an appointment for my son even though we arrive a few minutes early for our appointment each time. It’s a bit disappointing given that it’s happened on every single occasion we’ve come to visit. Come prepared to wait a long time 😭

We came for an appointment with my 2 kids (we came home early to be in time and arranged a babysitter to watch the others at home) and were told we were not in the schedule. I received reminder texts all day to remind me to arrive on time, and when I came they said “our manager must of deleted your appointment, oh well I guess you have to come back tomorrow”. The best day I had an appointment with my two other kids, so I was asked to bring all four. We were out into rooms and waited for about an hour to be seen. The place was so dysfunctional on every level. The secretaries in the front were rude and unprofessional. The hygienist made my 4 year old daughter feel bad that she was not brave enough to open her mouth widely…it was a disaster. We were there for two and a half hours . Never again

I'm giving 4 stars cuz we waited for over 20 minutes in the waiting room till we were called even though we had an appointment..... Today one lady at the front desk was really nice (surprisingly, as usually they're very abrupt and even obnoxious to the patients and parents.....

I brought all 5 of my children here and the staff and doctors was friendly however they cause several appointments for 1 case or constantly re/mis-scheduling. Seems like nobody is on the same page. Needed my child to have a tooth extracted for over 3 months and it was one excuse after another. They do not take emergency walk -ins but also do not follow the protocol from an E.R. visit and want to make their own consultation first. Apparently my time isn't valuable so for this I've had to find a new office that doesn't give me a run around or month later appointments.

I have been coming here for years and never had an issue the medical staff are great. The new receptionist are very unprofessional, rude, incompetent and disgusting. The receptionists are giving such a good dental office a bad reputation. I've missed two appointments due to my child having Covid-19 twice and rescheduled an appointment due to my child senior trip that was scheduled on the same day as her appointment at healthy smiles pediatric dentistry. I had an appointment today and was 10 minutes late due to Manhattan traffic and my child was refused services. I tried explaining myself and a slim young receptionist with balding wig scattered edges started to scream at me and stated I missed my appointment because I was 10 minutes late and my daughter was refused care. I then asked to speak to the manager who was just as unprofessional and stated I missed my appointments due to my child having covid-19 and being I was 10 minutes late I can not be seen and refused care to my daughter. I then asked to reschedule the appointment and the manager stated I can not be rescheduled and gave me a number to an individual named Sandy. Who talked to me like I was a child. I tried to tell her the 2 receptionist are extremely rude and the individual sandy stated they are not rude because I was 10 minutes late and missed 2 appointment due to my child having Covid-19 the receptionist had a right to refuse care and talk to me in such a triggering tone screaming and yelling. I work for the City Of New York in a healthcare setting and as a public servant that is not how you treat a patient. I would never treat any of my patients as such, I will be filing a formal complaint with New York State OPD and I've already started the paper work. The way I was treated today was so unprofessional, demeaning and degrading.
Update: In response to the message I received below. I literally tried calling this office multiple times when my child had Covid to reschedule and the unprofessional receptionist never answer. When they do finally answer with aggressive attitudes they will leave you on hold for over 20 minutes. My daughter even noticed the aggressive behaviour from the receptionist and became frightened. Yes my child was seen but that doesn't justify the way me and my child was treated, it was disgusting and unprofessional. That is not how you treat a patient, That is why a complaint was filed.
