Appalachian Dental Associates

I have been a patient since Bob Harris was there, for a couple years now. Recently the service has declined DRASTICALLY. Two appointments were canceled without notice, the latest due to an apparent $50 balance. I paid my $40 copay when leaving my last visit in July. When I login a see a $0 balance and have not gotten a bill. When I arrived for my appointment in January I was told the appointment was canceled due to a balance. I logged in and have a $0 balance. I asked the receptionist and she said she didn't know it just shows it was canceled. I have called twice and emailed but have yet to get a response from the office manager, Sarah. At this point I just need to know if this issue can be resolved or if I need to find a new dentist.

Front desks reception, scheduler and dental assistants always friendly, courteous. Dr. Hooks and his assistant Jansen are always courteous, professional, always patient with me as a senior, and take time to explain various procedures. I have full confidence in their knowlege of dentistry and its practices.

My first visit to this dental office. Boy was I impressed! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. And they were totally efficient and competent. They were sure to explain everything that they were doing and were concerned with how I was feeling the entire time. Dr. Crumley spent all the time necessary to answer any questions. I never felt rushed or that I was an inconvenience. Needless to say this is going to be my dental home going forward

Went for my cleaning yesterday and continue to be impressed with this office. On time, great cleaning by the dental technician, very enthusiastic and helpful dentist. Love this place!

Had my second cleaning and it was as well done as the first. The Hygienist was thorough, no pain and very pleasant to talk with. Dr. Hooks has so much energy it is contagious. He is wonderful to have as my dentist.

Went to my appointment this morning to find out for the 2nd time they did not have me on the schedule! The lady at the window started making excuses and I told her that they had been sending me emails that were meant for someone else. She was lost for words, but then called me as I was in my car leaving to say I left a VM to cancel my appointment. This was a total Lie I am through with this practice !

The team that did the work for me exhibited the best quality dental experience possible.
The two worked well together and knew what they were doing. Thanks to them for taking care of me.

The staff was very welcoming and responsive. I felt like the assistant, Janson and the hygienist, Anita were 🔙 the very knowledgeable. I really liked Dr. Hooks, personable, skilled and knowledgeable. No issues with taking my insurance!

Appalachian Dental Associates is the full package! When you walk in, the waiting room in light and airy with nice music at an ambient level. The receptionist is nice. They have nice, new and advanced equipment along with incredibly sweet hygienists who definitely know what they are doing. I saw Dr. Hooks and he was extremely knowledgeable and professional, as well. All-in-all, I am so happy I chose Appalachian Dental Associates for my dental needs. I couldn’t be happier with my visit!

The office was very clean, staff was very friendly. My appointment was great, and I felt extremely comfortable instead of stressed out and anxious. I am very happy I switched to this practice and look forward to getting the work I need done here with them.

I travel 30 minutes to come to Appalachian Dental and I always find myself saying "I love this place" very professional, they are always on time for my appointment and do a great job cleaning my teeth. Nice atmosphere too.
