Skyview Dentistry

We found out about Skyview from a Yelp event when it first opened. We are so happy to have found our forever dentist here in Charlotte through the event. I remember bragging about our dentist office to out friends for so many reasons. The TVs and Netflix, headphones, comfortable x-rays, beautiful decor and a cool view of the Epicenter are all pretty amazing, yet their forte is the people who work there. They are friendly and down-to-earth, and best of all their procedure for cleaning is effortless and painless.

As long as we live in Charlotte we will always go to Skyview for all of our dental needs!

I’ve only had 2 visits. One for a check-up and cleaning and the follow-up for a very deep crown. I was worried at the begining due to the 2 weeks of discomfort that was associated with such deep/aggressive work but the Doctor’s confidence was comforting and everything settled down just like the team had predicted. Very competent, very professional.

I just finished my third visit with SkyView Dentistry. Ariel is the best hygienist I've ever had - she is extremely knowledgeable and because of that is able to provide a pain-free cleaning. Dr. D'Silva is thorough in her examinations and provides the care I need when something isn't quite right. She is also personable, which is comforting. I would highly recommend this practice!

This place is wonderful! All of the staff are friendly and professional. I had a veneer done on my front tooth and it came out better than I thought was possible. Dr. Bunn did a great job and even straightened my smile all with little tweaks to that one tooth. Dr. D'Silva provided a very comfortable and natural feeling temporary while my permanent was being prepared. I highly recommend this practice.

Always great coming into Skyview, great people, timely service. Just great all around.

I don't know how other dental practices will remain in business with SkyView uptown! Your service over the phone and then again in person was impeccable, and you all exceeded my expectations. I was very grateful for the price transparency, the customer service and the experience I had with everyone in your office. The manners and Megan's humor was most appreciated this morning. Morgan was excellent to work with over the phone regarding insurance, and I have never been so excited to visit a dentist. Dr. Byrd, you're doing something very great, and I am so happy for your Epicentre expansion. Congrats on hiring the best of the best. Thank you x3

Dr Byrd is amazing. Her team is great as well. Every visit is on time and stress free. They all make you feel comfortable and seem to actually care about your oral health.

Going to the dentist isn't my favorite thing in the world. I moved to Charlotte a little over a year ago and didn't get a good vibe from the first dentist I chose, so I looked again. Luckily, I found Skyview. I read a lot of reviews before making decisions, so I naturally did some investigating before making the plunge.

I was on a waiting list for a month or two (because I'm a new patient and it was a cleaning). The office called me once or twice to see if I could come in, though, when other patients canceled. My schedule just didn't work, so I opted to wait until my official appointment.

The office is right above Gold's Gym (it'll be on the 4th floor). Right now the stairwell is blocked from the 3rd floor to the 4th floor (as of May 9, 2018), so you'll want to take the elevator.

I didn't wait in the lobby very long at all. No more than 5-10 minutes. I was taken back for x-rays and those took less than 5 minutes. The panoramic x-ray took around 30 seconds. The other x-rays were very quick; other x-ray machines that I've used in the past require the person to leave the room to run them. They use handheld x-rays here. It kind of looks like a radar gun. It's so much faster -- and if you have a bad gag reflex, the quicker you can get them finished, the better!

My dental hygienist was Meaghan and she was extremely nice. She was also very informative. It's actually one of the first times I've interacted with a hygienist who was truly interested in sharing their knowledge and informing patients.

I personally hate having my teeth cleaned -- the whole process of scraping teeth gives me chills. She was gentle throughout the process and careful with the pressure and placement of her tools. She was also conscious of the fact that my teeth are sensitive to cold and avoided squirting water directly on my teeth.

The dentist was really great, too. She evaluated my x-rays, looked at my teeth, and went through her findings. She made sure that I understood everything and when I gave her the thumbs up, she sent me to the check-out counter to wrap things up.

No one tried to up sell me or push unnecessary products onto me. The benefits of additional products such as fluoride toothpaste and a fluoride treatment were presented to me and I was given a price; I chose to go ahead with both (my insurance covered the fluoride but the toothpaste was only about $15-20). These are your teeth, guys; it's not a car dealership. I would argue that, in most cases, a dentist's recommendations are to benefit you, not pry money from you. If you question the validity of a dentist's product recommendation, just pull out your phone and do the research yourself to determine whether or not it can benefit you.

Oh, I forgot to mention that they have Bose noise-canceling headphones and Netflix, which is pretty awesome. And the dentist chairs can automatically massage you (you get a remote, of course).

10/10 cannot wait for my next appointment.

Skyview is an oasis. Dr. Byrd and her team are so thoughtful and thorough...you instantly feel comfortable and calm. Dr. Byrd is meticulous about her work and genuinely cares for her patients. If you’re looking for a dentist in Charlotte this is the place to go! Five stars does not do this place justice!!!

I just left Skyview Dentistry! My smile is perfect! My teeth are so white and glossy! This is the best place to go for all your smile needs. I have had cavities fixed, Invisalign’s, and cleanings here. I’ve been going to the same dentist since I first got teeth! Do you understand the relationship I had with my last Dentist. Well it’s continued with Dr. Byrd! I’m at home!!!!! See you in 6 more months!
