If you are thinking about getting orthodontic treatment at this facility, please take note of my experience. While Dr. Petersen is an exceptional orthodontist who provides personalized care and is attentive to my concerns and questions, the limited availability of his services is a significant drawback. He is only available at the office two days per month, resulting in a high volume of patients scheduled on those days. This often leads to follow-up appointments being scheduled past the recommended time and long waiting times for patients. My most recent appointment was canceled, and the next available appointment is not for another three months, causing a delay in my treatment progress. Despite this, they continue to accept new patients. Additionally, I have found it difficult to communicate with them as they never answer their phone, and in-person communication is required. In hindsight, I regret choosing this facility for my treatment and would recommend selecting a local orthodontist with more availability. I am giving them 2 stars solely due to Dr. Petersen's excellent care

Excellent dentist and hygienist. Horrible billing department. I had a crown replaced. I paid up from for what was not covered by my insurance. About a month later I got a bill for over $700. When I inquired I was told my plan had a waiting period to cover crowns. I checked my insurance plan before I had the procedure done and verified there is no waiting period (Beam is the insurance company). From here I contacted my insurance company to see why the bill was not paid. They verified that my plan does not have a waiting period for any procedureβs. They stated that the dental office left out a lot of info in the claim. Such as the date of the original crown and a lot of technical info. I took notes and went into gentle dental and gave them the info that the insurance company needed and told them they just needed to re-submit the claim with the proper details of the procedure. Call me if you have any questions. A month later I get another bill. I went back into the office and waited an hour to speak to the office manager Cynthia that handles all the billing. Apparently she was looking for documentation to show that my insurance rejected the claim because there was a waiting period of the procedure to be covered. Cynthia Was not able to produce any documentation of this. Simply because my plan does not have a waiting period. She stated she would call my insurance company and re-submit the claim. A month later I got another bill. I called Gentle Dental 4 separate times and left messages for Cynthia to return my calls. Never got a call returned. I went into there office twice and was told Cynthia was not available. Today I received a bill from a collections agency that I have no choice but to pay to protect my credit. This is all a real shame because the dentist is great.

The worst dental clinic Iβve ever been to!!! Iβve been trying to get a prescription toothpaste for weeks now. Gentle Dental sent the toothpaste to Rite Aid and when I went to pick it up, Rite Aid was going to charge me. Gentle Dental never pre-authorized it so it would be covered by insurance. When I called to ask why, they told me toothpaste is never covered by insurance, which is NOT true. I confirmed this with my insurance company. I had to tell Gentle Dental that the toothpaste has to be pre-authorized by the dentist first. Why donβt they know this? Now I have to wait for Dr. Henry to come back from vacation to get the correct prescription. They said heβd βfigure it outβ when he gets back because they never usually do things like this. Yeah, itβs very apparent that none of them know what theyβre doing, and they always have plenty of excuses ready for me. Why on earth would Dr. Henry prescribe me something I have to pay out of pocket for in the first place? Thatβs why I have insurance! This whole experience has been so incredibly frustrating and unnecessarily complicated. I am VERY unhappy. Also, they NEVER return my voicemails or update me about anything! They say theyβll call me but they never do. Super unprofessional. Also, Cynthia the manager is EXTREMELY rude! She has a very nasty attitude, I donβt know how she got hired. She even hung up on me. What a piece of trash. I will be filing a complaint with the dental board because this place REFUSED to have my toothpaste covered by insurance.

Had to get a different dentist. This place has gone so far down hill with the rude phone calls and cancellations. They do NOT Care about their patients. Dr. Henry is a genuine guy but everyone else and since Dr. Flarity left is lacking big time. The final straw was cancelling my appointing with a chuckle at my displeasure, I had been rescheduled 3 times prior with months books out each time, a little genuine concern and compassion when someone is in prolonged pain having to wait month after month just to be told sorry we canceled your appointment yet again. I went to open door family dentistry and let me just say AMAZING place! They do fillings All in ONE appointment, multiple appointments available and a compassionate staff. Sorry NOT sorry Iβm never coming back. Also note that they only respond to positive reviews and never comment back to the bad ones. (RED FLAG)

ABSOLUTELY LOVE Gentle Dental I've NEVER been to a dentist/orthodontics office that's been so caring and informative your whole appointment your treated like you matter with a smile. I've NEVER had a dentist/orthodontist that made me feel safe and heard like Gentle Dental did. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Gentle Dental for your dental needs you won't regret it.

I would give them a 0 if I could. They made appliances for my husband that don't fit correctly. They won't fit because some of his teeth were broken off and they didn't make the proper adjustments. Several thousands of dollars and 2 follow up visits later we are back to square one.

2 stars due to old staff. I began coming here in 2015 the staff was wonderful Heidi was my hygienist Nima my doctor. Wonderful duo so kind gentle was the way they were through and through. They calmed every nerve every doubt and did so very graciously. New staff is nothing Like this. Unfortunately the new hires seem only concerned with pleasing the Dr. catty beyond belief. I miss my old Dr.

Rude staff, rough treatment. Got a filling redone and it was worse after they worked on it. Went back in and they told me that was just as good as it gets. Theyβve canceled appointments for no reason and with a multi month wait time thatβs pretty inconvenient. They take ohp so itβs basically the only option for a lot of people.
If you can go elsewhere, do that

We got 3 appts in a row cancelled last min (2 the day of the appt) by the hygienist. The last one we received a dry phone call from one of the receptionists.. letting us know not only was our appointment cancelled but also she only had one option for us in terms of rescheduling, and it was such short notice (only 2 days away) at a time that did not work for us, and it was either take it or get booked months out AGAIN... Further more, they don't really explain things clearly and thoroughly regarding treatment plans going forward. This has left me feeling uncertain if I am in good hands or not. The staff (although friendly for the most part) seem like they're just going through the motions rather than coming off as genuinely caring.. it's kind of a stark contrast to our new dentist office, which we are very happy with.
