I saw both Dr. Corbin Avey and dental hygienist Taylor, and they were both excellent. Dr. Avey saw some actinic keratoses on my face and asked if I was under the care of a dermatologist, and Taylor gave me the most thorough cleaning I've ever had in my 73 yearson the planet AND discovered a cavity on the back of a rear molar that was not really even visible on the x-rays! These guys are the real deal!

I was so happy with the service that Michael gave me. Followed through with what he promised,he could do! The staff was friendly and went above and beyond their call of duty. Thankyou, to all at Gentle Dental for a great experience!!!

Dr. Henrie and his assistants were excellent. It's the front desk people who need to work on improving their communication and customer service skills. They made a mistake on my account. Instead of having a 257.00 as balance, it went up to 362.00. For someone who is not making much, I was unhappy with this addition. But what irks me was how it was presented. There were no explanation about the 105.00 extra. I had to ask what it is for. They probably have a lot of well off patients who can just pay whatever they put on the paper, but what about someone like me?
There were no apology about this mishap. Instead I was faced with rude staff.
BTW, I'm aware that that 105.00 will not go away.

Super clean office space, great deal as far as a cleaning/x ray/exam went. I actually missed my appointment because I got the times mixed up and didnโt realize that until they gave me a courtesy call but WHILE on the call gave me another time later that day because someone else cancelled which was really nice. Hygienist was really nice and easy to talk to (not to mention super cute). Friendly staff, canโt wait to go back in another 6 months for another cleaning. Havenโt seen the dentist in over 8 years, after my visit they made me want to reinvest in my oral health again. =)

Ok soโฆ I havenโt been to the dentist in YEARS! I walked in completely prepared to be berated but that was not the case in the least. I walked in and was greeted by a beautiful receptionist. She took the time to check me in as a new patient and ensured that all of my paperwork was signed. I sat down and in the time it took me to open my email, I was called.
You want to talk about Dental Hygienists who go above and beyond?? My girl took X-rays, cleaned my teeth, waited by me for the dentist to show up and the whole time the conversation was personable, light and I laughed so hard I had tears coming down my eyes. We spoke about the work thatโs needed going forward and I can confidently say that I will NEVER go 6 months without heading to the dentist AGAIN.
This place has made me a believer that there truly are Dental offices that donโt feel like morgues! The staff was amazing, the office was clean and quiet (not when I was in there laughing so hard my side cramped) but Iโm sure it settled down nicely again after. I was able to go home to my 5 year old and smile and say that I enjoyed my dental experience.
I will be heading back there in about 3 weeks to start on the things we discussed and if Iโm being completely honestโฆ I canโt wait!

This morning I called this office 7 times, the first 6 calls went to a message asking me to leave my name and number and theyโd get back to me. The 7th time I called, a man answered the phone, apparently he was from the main office in Portlandโs call center! He was not professional at all, trying to tell me I needed an exam and X-rays before they could diagnose what was wrong. He then put me through to the actual office where I was told that they were too busy to see me, they had 3 full rows of patients with only 1doctor and 2 dental assistants!! I reminded her that they advertised same day appointments and emergency visits!!!!!!!
While eating last night my lower front crown, #24, came off. I needed it recemented, itโs right in the front of my mouth so it is very visible. I worked in a dental office for about 43 years ( started when I was barely 16), I would never treat a patient in that manner. Iโd do anything and everything to work that patient into the schedule!
I would not recommend this office for your dental treatment!! Keep shopping around, get a referral from a friend or family member first. They advertise things they donโt offer, if their schedule is booked, full, donโt count on getting an appointment that same day. Unprofessional phone etiquette and all around attitude!

NOT A GENTLE DENTAL OFFICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! emf

So don't even try to go here. Here's my story. Made an appt months ago to be seen this Friday at 8 AM. They called and left me a voice mail yesterday (three days before my appt) telling me the dentist canceled my appt and to call back to reschedule. (I still have this voicemail.) Now first of all....you will notice in these reviews that they generally ONLY respond to positive reviews. That should be your first red flag. When they should focus on making it right with unhappy customers. Second, anyone reading this just give this a try.....call their number. The message will say if your a new client press 1. That'll take you straight to a loud call center. OR press 2 for existing customer which will ALWAYS take you to a voice mail. Don't even bother leaving a voicemail. I left four. As a lot of folks have in these reviews. Noone will ever call you back. Ever. When I spoke to someone in the call center (again, because i pressed 1), she tried to reschedule me for four more months later after I already waited two months for the appt they canceled on me! I asked if she had anything sooner. She then put me on hold for over 15 mins, came back on the line to tell me she was "transferring" me to the supervisor who could help me. (I didnt even ask for the supervisor) Except all she did was transfer me to the voice-mail you get if you press option 2. Noone called me back. Ever. I called Willamette dental. They were extremely nice, I talked to a live person. Got an appt for tomorrow. It's unfortunate they treated me and others it seems like this but again, they don't seem to care about making things right. Just ignoring all situations.

Dr Henry is a very honest and kind man But, ... The front desk never answers the phone
with a live person. You get a voice recording to leave a message. I have left 3 over the past few months regarding a very painful tooth. I ended up getting on antibiotics and steroids for an infection that hurt from above my ear down to my chest. This can be very dangerous. It's not the doctor's fault but whomever is managing the office needs to change their methods. Now my dental insurance is no more so when and if I do see him it will cost me much more.

I havenโt been to a dentist in 15 years, scared witless, kept putting it off. Exam went easy, had to have 2 teeth pulled out, put off till couldnโt anymore, Dr Henrie is awesome and his assistant is the greatest, have a family group daily text that I send out a prayer to each morning and have fun on, told them the next morning how great my experience was and was told my great grandson already goes there for braces and feels the same. Thank you to the whole staff. God Bless You!!!

I had such a pleasant experience. As she was cleaning my teeth, she explained what she was seeing and all of my teeth in detail and gave me different recommendations. She even talked about insurance coverage at the very end. I will definitely go back again.
