Portland Family Dentistry

I would not recommend this clinic. First the waiting times to get an appointment are horribly long 2 months just to be seen for an initial appointment and up to 3 months in between when waiting to get crowns/treatment done. In that time with the temporary crowns were breaking and causing constant suffering. After all of the waiting and finally getting the permanent crowns put in, after a botched first attempt the shape and color was still wrong, the crowns also protruded forward. Dr. Agee promised that the shape and color of the front crowns would be done right and that the teeth would not protrude. The permanent crowns even ended up protruding more that the temporary crowns (Dr. Agee said that the permanent crowns would not protrude like the temporary crowns did). The permanemt crowns also caused a speech impedament when pronouncing certain words. In response to that we were told that this would go away after a few days or a week, when the speech impedament did not go away after that we were told it would be a few months. It is now over a year later and the speech impedament is still there. Having explained to Dr. Agee our concerns shortly after the crowns were finished we were blown off in a very rude manner. It was also a complete hassle getting the medical records after the entire ordeal, on top of that you have to pay for your medical records there. When you finally get seen at this office you are charged an astronomical amount of money only to be let down with botched work. To add insult to injury you have to suffer for months with broken temporary crowns. These are front teeth after all and the whole world gets to see them, and having them not done properly is just the worst. Also to add to this during one of the cleanings Lindsey did a very harsh job while doing a deep cleaning leaving my gums sore and irritated for many days. I recommend finding a dentist that will care about you as a patient, see you in a timely manner, and perform the work you need done the right way.

The staff at Portland family dentistry treats you like a true friend. They have been taking care of my family's oral health in a friendly comfortable environment for years and we can't say enough about how they care about you as a person as well as your oral health. We're so glad that we got to develop a relationship with this team of true professionals.

Honestly shocked I haven’t written a review sooner. I have been frequenting Portland Family Dentistry for over a year now, and I recommend them to everyone I know. I say frequenting because I am a person with terrible teeth who has always had LOTS on dental work to be done. Meaning dentists and their teams are very important to me. I truly can’t speak highly enough of the whole team at PFD. Dr. Agee is kind and takes the time to listen, answer questions, and in the case of “how it works” people like myself, to really explain the procedures so we can understand. On top of that he is one of the most skilled dentists I have ever been to - my mother refers to him as “boy wonder” because of how much I brag. Elizabeth, his assistant is so great and they make an amazing team that really makes you feel safe and secure even when they are doing extremely scary feeling or sounding things (shout out to them lifting my sinus without scaring the life out of me and somehow making me laugh about it). Rachel my hygienist is the actual sweetest and super skilled! I truly look forward to her cleanings, they feel more like catch ups that finish with my mouth feeling sparkling clean. Lastly the biggest shout out to Brandy at the front desk. Brandy, Girl you Are amazing!! She is so helpful and talks through all of the money, insurance, etc with me backwards and forwards so I can know where every cent I’m spending is going. For those with insurance but not much money beyond that (and lots of work to do), this is a really really big deal!! I truly feel like everyone at this practice is a friend, which I know is Dr. Agee’s goal. So while I know this has been more of a love letter to my dentists office, what I’m trying to say is RUN, don’t walk to go see these folks. Go go go. They are going to take such good care of you! (And send you home with flowers to boot - I mean come on, what more can you ask for?!)

Dr. Travis and the entire team at Portland Family Dentistry are thorough and professional. They are experts in delivering high quality service. From scheduling with Brandy, the work up with Elizabeth, to Dr. Travis diagnosing and explaining sustainable oral health, and finally walking out with a complimentary flower to take home to my wife! I don't know of any other dentist that takes this much care and attention to every step of the process. And my pearls are now healthy and shining! Thanks Portland Family Dentistry.

I had a filling fall out the day before flying to Portland and needed a dentist who would be able to fit me in to get it fixed ASAP. The entire team at Portland Family Dentistry was amazing! Not only did they fit me in, they fixed me up with a new filling, checked on a few issues around that tooth, and sent me on my way with a beautiful updated smile. If I was local, I would 100% be a patient at Portland Family Dentistry.

Wonderful practice. Lindsay was my hygienist today and it was one of the top cleaning experiences I’ve ever had. She was thoughtful, gentle and did everything she could to alleviate my horrible dental anxiety. Dr Agee and his staff truly care about their patients and it shows.

I was recently in to Portland Family Dentistry for a cleaning appointment. Another great experience! Annie was so friendly and did a fabulous job. She is very personable and so smart! As usual, Robyn and Elizabeth were there to smile, laugh and make the visit that much more enjoyable. I am so glad that my wife and I discovered Dr. Agee and his wonderful staff. I heartily recommend them!

Portland Family Dentistry is the best dental office I’ve ever had. Dr. Agee and his entire staff are the best! They are honest, competent and friendly. You can really sense the close knit family that they are. Rachel does an outstanding job as a hygenist. This is especially important to me because I have very sensitive teeth and gums. I encourage you to make Portland Family Dentistry your dental home. You won’t be disappointed!
