Dr. Houlihan and his entire staff are incredible. My daughter who is 29, with special needs has been coming to Dr H. Since his practice started a few years ago. She has to be sedated to get any dental work done. For parents who have children or adults who need sedation, this is the place for you.
Dr. Houlihan is kind, understanding and most importantly he does a wonderful job.
His staff is the BEST! Everyone works as a team. You can feel that they all work really well together.
I would rate them 10 stars if it was possible.

Great experience! Dr. Houlihan was kind, skilled and thorough. He was honest about different treatment options and the long-term effects but also never pressured me. I have never had a dentist who has spent the time that Dr. Houlihan spent to talk over my concerns and questions. I felt like a part of the team - if you are looking for a practice that teams up with you, then this is the place for you. I trust his recommendations and the care he provides. I could tell that the whole team seeks to give the best possible care to their patients. When I checked out, they worked with me to find a good time to schedule my next visit and also went out of the way to check my insurance coverage on several treatment needs. I highly recommend this office for those looking for a warm, welcoming team and honest, professional care.

Also, I work in the NICU at a local hospital and am very COVID conscious in order to protect my tiny patients. I felt comfortable and at ease receiving care here during the pandemic. They have put many safety protocols in place to provide a safe environment (air filters, negative pressure during your cleaning, PPE by the staff) - they have truly gone above and beyond to create a safe environment and it is so appreciated. Thank you Dental Professionals!

Very attentive. They cover every aspect of the treatment so your never left.wondering. I appreciate their honesty....they explain the pros and cons. For someone like me who has had a bad experience with dentists, they do a great job of making me feel comfortable throughout the visit .

I am a senior...and in all my years sitting in dentist chairs...my visit today for a cavity was the best ever. Dr. Houlihan was friendly, gentle, told me what he was doing with each step. There was absolutely NO pain. His assistant, Natalia, is amazing. I had the best experience, ever. Highly recommend. Also, everyone at the office is friendly...and my cleanings have always been pain free and a pleasant experience.

Been a patient for over 30 years. Seen four dentists and countless hygienists come and go, but the service is always top notch. Periodic cleanings are always comfortable and judgement free. Even when fillings become necessary, they do everything they can to make the experience as "not unpleasant" as possible and I appreciate that a lot. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a quick fix, or a long term relationship with Dental Professionals.

I've been going to Dental Professionals for about 20 years now and have seen it go through various transitions and dentists. I have always had a great experience with them. Everyone is conscientious, friendly, and thoughtful and work with you for whatever challenges you may be having with your teeth. I have really enjoyed my interactions with Dr. Houlihan and would recommend him and the entire staff.

Great cleaning experience. Sad my regular tech wasn't there and not looking forward to more work, but if it has to be done, I do like the people here.

I have had a lot of dental work. The staff here have worked with me and tailored a plan to help prevent anymore issues. It's worked extremely well over the years. I finally had to have a cap replaced and the dentist worked with me on what my options were and did an exceptional job on fitting the cap in my mouth as I'm super sensitive to things being even slightly off. Very happy!

This review is on behalf of my brother who went here for dental work. I have never written a review based on a family member’s experience before, but his experience here was so AWFUL I am compelled to let future potential customers know about his experience.
Having teeth removed is a painful experience - both physical and emotional. Having all your teeth removed is a traumatic experience.
My brother was getting work done on his remaining good teeth from a skilled professional on the East coast. After relocating to Portland, he went to this place to continue the work on his teeth. The team that works here advised my brother that removing all his remaining teeth and going for dentures would be the best option.
It has been the WORST decision and was a severely poor direction recommended by the dentist. All because of how horribly they have handled his care, how poorly they have treated him, and how lacking in professionalism they are.
The 8 hour surgery wasn’t done properly - his gum line wasn’t sutured properly causing IMMENSE and unnecessary pain in the weeks following. They did bone grafting during the surgery without his permission - a very long and painful healing process.
My brother doesn’t cry easily. But after 5+ ill-fitting, faulty, and misshapen temporary dentures he was in tears.
Can you imagine suddenly having NO teeth and the people you trusted and paid to help you SCREWED UP? And didn’t care to fix it immediately? MULTIPLE TIMES!!!
The front staff did not rush his replacement dentures as they were instructed to do (multiple times). There has been 0 good bedside manner for my brother. This place truly cares about only money. They have not treated him with care or kindness.
This is almost 1 year later and he STILL doesn’t have his correctly fitting permanent dentures. DO NOT GO HERE.
They charged 2x the amount that was agreed upon originally. $20k originally to $40k+ is a MAJOR difference. They have billed him for their mistakes. This staff and dentist should be ashamed of how they treated their patient, my brother.
BE ADVISED - DO NOT GO HERE! Learn from my brother’s unfortunate mistake of trusting these people!

Three fillings in my 50+ year old mouth. Not something ANYONE looks forward to. As ever, Dental Professionals was patient with me (I have had a lot of experience with Military and State Dentistry). They made sure I was comfortable and informed. They actively asked me how I was doing, asked if we needed a break, ensured I was always good to go forward. They brought me music to listen to, glasses to wear. This is my first set of fillings from Dr. Houlihan. He did great work. His kindness and understanding cannot be understated. The staff here is wonderful as well. His assistant match the fillings to my actual teeth color - you can't even see them. I recommend them to everyone I know who needs a dentist.
