I've had unpleasant experiences with dentists in the past and avoided them for too long. A few years ago I developed a cavity I couldn't ignore and found FFD from the great reviews on Yelp. Dr. Rick was so patient and gentle and helped me prioritize my dental needs. Now I go in every 3 months for my routine cleanings. Dr. Rick is an excellent, honest dentist and his entire staff is warm, efficient and professional. They are patient-centered and focused on making their patients comfortable. FFD and Dr. Rick are the best!

He’s helped relieve me of tooth pain caused by receding gums with some simple but very effective fillings. Something no other dentist had suggested over the years of suffering I’ve experienced.
He’s advised me many times to get rid of my wisdom teeth since they’ve developed many cavities but I’ve chickened out every time even after meeting the surgeon he referred. But he never pushed me in a commercial way like some other dentists have done in the past. I’m now planning to get that procedure done soon from the surgeon he’s recommended (Dr. Kern). Because I trust them both to do a good job and truly care for their patients well-being.

I've been going to Forest Family Dentistry since 2014 (Anderson Ln location) and just had a cleaning at the Research Blvd location. Everyone on staff is always helpful and patient. Julie, the dental hygienist I had today, is very skilled, nonjudgmental, and efficient! Dr. Tjan was thorough and kind as well, allowing plenty of space for me to ask any questions I had. I'm grateful for the work everyone does here and will continue to recommend them to others.

Best dentist and staff I’ve experienced in a long time—maybe ever. Even though I hadn’t been a patient, when a crown popped off, they saw me quickly, discovered the problem, took extra time to deal with it then and there, all without pain, even though a lot of drilling was required. This was more like a spa visit than a trip to the dentist.

First of all, I did not have the best experiences at the dentist growing up so I was very apprehensive coming here. From the get go, the staff and assistants were very friendly and made me feel comfortable. There was also Netflix so I was able to zone out during the cleaning. Dr. Latif was incredibly kind and took the time to listen and educate me while addressing my concerns. I am SO pleased and excited to not worry about going to the dentist! ☺️

I’ve been going to this dental practice for a couple of years and have been so impressed! Their staff is very friendly and professional and the facility itself is clean, modern, and nicely designed. Dr Rick is caring, professional, very knowledgeable, and does quality work. I’ve had several dentists in the 23 years I’ve been in Austin and can truly say that he is the only dentist I have trusted to look out for my best interest. My experiences have been great. I will continue going and highly recommend this practice!

Dr Rick and his staff were amazing. Hate going to the dentist and they made it a great experience. Office is beautiful and friendly staff. Dr Rick walks you through every part while he works on your mouth. He follows up the day after to make sure you're doing well which my past dentist never did. I would highly suggest to use his practice! You and your mouth can't go wrong.
