I recently moved to Austin and was in search of a new dental office. A friend had reccomended Forest family north to me and it turned out to be an amazing find. From scheduling over the phone all the way up to my visit with Dr. Rick, I was absolutely blown away by the level of courtesy and professionalism. The facilities and equipment are top notch and Morgan and Tabitha, Dr. Rick’s assistants, were both friendly and efficient. I can’t say what a relief it is to have found such a great practice so soon after moving to Austin. I will definitely be recommending them in the future.

I was a new patient who came in for an emergency appointment for a cracked molar and had a great experience! I was in and out very quickly, the doctor and assistant were great and the receptionist was very friendly! I will definitely be coming back for my routine dental work :)

Finding a great dentist is a challenge. Look no further, as these guys are amazing! They truly care about their patients. I am not particularly thrilled about a trip to the dentist and tend to be a nervous patient. However, every visit turns into a pleasant experience. The staff at Forest Family Dentistry are cognizant of their patients’ needs and would make sure you are well looked after.

My experience with Dr Rick has been wonderful. He is exceptionally professional and experienced. The staff was helpful and friendly. The new North location is comfortable and clean, also very convenient. I won't trust my teeth to anyone else! Great job, five stars!!!

I had the worst experience I have ever had at a dentist at this location. It's a bummer because I had previously heard good things. The doctor was behind, which is no big deal, so they offered me free teeth whitening for the wait. 35 minutes later they forgot about me, and my gums started burning. I had to get out of my chair to find someone to remove the whitening, but my gums were already burned white with bleach. The doctor finally came in, didnt introduce herself or even greet me, and treated me like I was a number. She then left the room without telling me what work I needed done. Even the assistant seemed a little confused. It wasn't until I got to the front desk that I was told I had some cavities and needed fillings. I was quoted $4,000 for all the work I needed done.
I want to be transparent, I'm writing this post 2 years later only because I finally went back to a new dentist today after the sticker shock of all the work I needed done, covid, loss of job, you know the story. I only needed $1k of work done. When I told the doctor about my previous quote she almost lost it.

Dr Rick and my dental hygienist, Jeremiah, gave me hands down the most enjoyable dentist appointment(or any medical appointment, really) of my life- and I'm saying this as someone who went years between dental appointments due to dreading the pain and lectures like I've had before. Jeremiah kept me laughing and at ease throughout the (gentle but thorough) cleaning, and Dr Rick is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I never thought I would say this, but I'm actually looking forward to my next appointment with them.

I had a crown break on a weekend and emailed Dr. Rick. He emailed me back personally and within an hour he met me back at his office and fixed my crown! I’ve never felt more comfortable getting work done on my teeth. Not only is he very accommodating, but he’s super funny and kind. I feel very lucky to have Dr. Rick as my dentist!

I’ve been a patient for almost 3 years. Everyone at the office is welcoming, understanding and great at what they do. The facility is very clean, and they let you watch Netflix while getting your teeth cleaned! Would recommend to everyone!
