The first visit I knew was going to be stressful because I had neglected my dental needs for 3+ years and my gums were really receding. I have a huge fear of drilling/filing due to past orthodontic Visits. My teeth were shaved in between with no numbing and they hit nerves and wouldn’t stop after I asked.
So, when I walk in a new dental office my test and fear are on guard.
From start to finish, The Carrollton Dentist staff and Doctor were courteous, soothing and very professional. I could tell they were highly trained and knowledgeable. I have no problem giving my dental needs over to this team! They go above and beyond and I am so glad I am on my way to full dental health 😃!

This was a horrible experience. Let's start from the time you get there, the receptionists are horrible they tried to tell me I didn't have an appointment when someone had just called and confirmed a couple of days before. Then they told me my exam would be $57 and they tried charging me $124. The doctor seemed very rushed and not thorough at all. She was not warm or friendly by any means. I only went in for an exam and X-ray but I could not even fathom receiving treatment from this doctor. Patient care is so important from the start to finish. Needless to say I will not be back. EVER.

I have to laugh at "Loved it" for a dentist office! However...in all seriousness I am extremely pleased to report that Dr. Horton and her staff run/staff by far, the best dental office I've ever been to. I'm in my early 50's so can assure you I've been to a few in my lifetime. Prior to visiting Dr. Horton it had literally been 7 years since my last dental visit. Why? Because, like so many people, I despise going to the dentist! Alas, I had had my share of bad experiences (not just painful..that's to be expected to some degree - I'm talking, LOUSY 'chairside manners', uncaring of patents' feelings, etc.) so I entered the office with no small amount of trepidation. Immediately I was put at ease and (what a concept!) THEY LISTENED! I mean, the 'active listening' that is taught in a good Communications class - reflective listening, taking the time to enter in to your feelings...Tina was beyond fantastic (dental assistant) as she genuinely took an interest in everything I was saying...then kindly passed it on to Dr. Horton (no needing to repeat everything 6 times!) who then addressed me directly and we TALKED about my concerns.
Seriously, I am a REAL person (not a paid reviewer!) that resides in Carrollton and I promise you: I've been going to Dr. Horton, now, for almost a year and it has truly been a treat to find someone that actively cares about people that just don't really "like dentists very much" (she, and any good dentist knows it's not personal!).
Hope this helps someone make a call to Dr. Horton - perhaps someone like me that hasn't been in many years because of FEAR of the Dentist! (Dentophobia - it's a real word, I promise!).

Dr. Horton is the best. She goes past the expected and makes certain that you get just what you need and that it's just right for you. The support staff takes great care of you as well and has always been happy and fun. Fun, now that's a word you don't hear with dentist very often but it truly is, every time.

My grandmother went here. Linda Saldivar. She had a wonderful experience. Very patient nice dentist. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The whole team there was able to help her and explain everything thoroughly. She highly recommends this place!

Moved to Dallas area and was referred to Dr. Rodriguez. Her and the staff are great. The office reviews with you your treatment plan and any out of pocket costs that insurance does not cover to make sure you understand. So happy I was given her information.
