Gunnerson Dental: K. Cheyn Gunnerson, DMD

I have been dealing with a persistent infection in scalp and beard for over twenty years. No MD or other medical professional could find the cause. Dr. Gunnerson's up to date imaging on site and his professional experience found the cause in two tooth root systems and treated them successfully! I'm a fan and happy to recommend him to anyone. Competence and friendliness in the same office.

Completed two root canals and three crowns in a competent and friendly working office. Great team, competent care and friendly to boot!

Do not be fooled by all of the SWAG.

Before anything is done, do not believe them if they say this will be covered by your insurance. Verify through your insurance that what they are recommending will be covered. We ended up paying out of pocket~$700.00. Because they said that it would be covered. When we were upset and tried to resolve the issue, we couldn't even get them to call us back. We tried to discuss this with Mr. Gunnerson. His staff would not let us talk to him. We are unaware that he even knew about the issue we were facing. When we said that we will go to an open house they were holding due to the lack of response to ask Dr. Gunnerson, they called the cops! Were they afraid we would bring this up in an open discussion about braces? I don't believe they deserve one star.

Be Careful! I unfortunately believed that the work that my family and I were having done at this “Amazing” dentist was great, we are now reaping the consequences of many years of bad dentistry.

Fillings fell out mere weeks after having them placed and they refused to “guarantee” it. Even though we were current patients who kept up with our cleanings every 6 months! Thousands of dollars down the drain after veneers were made to thin and broke after only 2 years. Vertical fracture of tooth was finally found by another dentist after years of downplaying the issue. I could go on......BUYER BE AWARE!

** Carefully watch your EOB from your insurance company as they will charge for services that were never performed. Their charges are excessive. The billing department is shady, make sure you have everything in writing and you verify! There is a dentist in town who does better work, has the same atmosphere and charges a fair price.

I've had "rough" dental experiences over the years. If only I had met Dr. Gunnerson a few years earlier.. my smile would be much different. He is a very gentle, caring dentist and person. Thank you Dr. G.. for taking away my fear of dental work. Vickie H

My son LOVES coming to the dentist! Especially to have his teeth cleaned by his hygienist Amber. He calls it a party in his mouth and asks when he can come back again. Great job team Gunnerson!

Gunnerson Dental is an awesome office! The staff really goes above and beyond to make all their patients as comfortable as possible. My hygienist, Cassidy, is amazing too!

Gunnerson Dental filled a cavity back in June 2018 which was supposed to be covered by my insurance. The insurance wouldn't pay it because the tooth had already been filled. Gunnerson will send you to collections (Meade Recovery) and Meade recovery will contact an attorney and you will be served papers. $70 turned into $506.01. I wasn't a difficult client AND a paid them additional money to whiten my teeth (which didn't work!) I came to them because of their high reviews. ALWAYS do your homework - this dental office doesn't care about you or your finances.

My daughter went in to try out the NuCalm system. She was so relaxed and comfortable. We had to try something different because she was severely anxious about dentist. She is ready to get her first check-up in 2 years and is actually excited to go.

Gunnerson Dental is a great office. The staff is friendly and the doctor is concerned for his patients. I appreciate their up front pricing and payment plans. Thanks Gunnerson Dental. You will be my dentist for years to come.

If I could leave negative stars I would. We went there to have work done on my daughters mouth. She had a mouthful of cavities so we knew there would be a lot of work that had to be done. But we had no idea how much they would try and charge us to do it. I should have been clued in when they called before her appt to discuss their “comfort menu”. They told me they charge $50.00 per visit for their laughing gas and then said, “but don’t worry, we have these noise canceling headphones and eye mask we only charge $20.00 for 😲! Isn’t that part of making your customers more comfortable during their visit? (At least that’s been my experience other places) Gunnerson quoted us over $8000.00 before insurance and over $3000.00 after. We made an apt for the following day to have the work done but after talking to my husband and hearing not great things about Gunnerson, we decided to get a second opinion. When we call the next morning to cancel, not even 24 hours after making the appt. they told me I would have to pay a $50.00 cancellation fee because I cancelled less than 24 hours in advance and another $20.00 to get the xrays and that it would take 2-3 weeks at the least to have those given to me!! We went to Cascade dental the following week to have a second opinion. They were not only more friendly and accommodating but they also only charge $20.00 for laughing gas and their final quote was half of what Gunnerson told us. COMPLETE AND TOTAL RIP-OFF. Oh and they didn’t charge us for new xrays, since Gunnerson never sent them over.

Oh and be aware, they train their staff to tell everyone they accept their insurance even when they don’t to get their business. And when the insurance denies their claim...guess who gets stuck with the entire balance. But don’t worry they offer in house financing!
