I had a really negative experience with a previous dentist, which made me very anxious and nervous to ever go back. I was in so much pain I had to see someone and my mother recommended Scott McGavin. I have never been treated so good before in the dentist chair (since my pediatric dentist). Scott and his staff took such good care of me and made sure I was comfortable and explained exactly what was going to happen every step of the way. Scott understands that some people just do not like to go to the dentist... but I am more comfortable with it because of the way I was treated and his methods of doing dentistry. Thanks Scott and team for making my experiences with you bearable and pleasant, and for being patient with me as I work through my anxiety.

Dr. McGavin is my personal choice for my dental reconstruction.
He has masterfully rebuilt my mouth from damage caused by being struck in the face by a speeding car.
He had the contacts and resources to actually perform the multiple crowns and bridges, broken root extraction. He also oversaw my implants, bone graphs, root canals along with finishing all these highly detailed procedures.

He is very careful with me to avoid any unnecessary pain or discomfort.

We just moved to Utah and we were recommended by two other patients, that Scott McGavin was the one to see, So I called and a quick appointment was scheduled and I was able to get my cleaning done. I met with Scott McGavin and he spent time getting to know me and had a great visit. The staff was great and I was able to get my next appointment when I needed it. After having a wonderful relationship with my last DMD in California for over 18 years I didn't think I'd find another one like him, but I was wrong, Scott McGavin and his staff made me feel comfortable and certain that I would be taken care of in years to come. I only missed the TV monitor on the ceiling, but they had nice pictures to look at!

My husband and I have been going here for about 12 years. We love the kind and personalized attention. We love that Dr. McGavin is thorough but not overly aggressive with treatments. We had been taking our children to a pediatric dentist, but recently switched over to taking them here as well. I was nervous, since they are young, but the staff was kind and patient and did a much more thorough job than the pediatric dentist office. Our five year old required an extensive filling and the staff was able to move quickly, not keep him waiting and keep him from getting too nervous. I would definitely recommend this office for all ages.

Dr McGavin is a great dentist. I liked the staff and trust his recommendations for the dental problems we have had. He seems to really care about our oral health and not just putting money in his pocket by doing any work he can.

Dr. McGavin is Awesome! My family and I have been patients of his for 15 years. If you are looking for a dentist, I highly recommend him. You won't be disappointed. Dr. McGavin's approach to care is centered on the patient. His recommendations for care are never skewed towards how much money he'll make. In fact, where other dentists may recommend an aggressive approach, Dr. McGavin's approach is always conservative, with what is best for the patient in mind and never his pocketbook. When discussing potential procedures, he and his staff never make you feel "less then" or stupid for asking. Recently Dr. McGavin went to bat for me regarding an insurance claim. This act was above the call of duty, but typical of his character and service mindset.

Our family first started seeing Dr McGavin 6 months ago because my 4 year old was having issues with his teeth. Dr McGavin was able to fix those issues. He was so caring and made him so feel comfortable that when it was time for a cleaning he still loved going to the dentist. Thank you Dr McGavin for making this experience so easy for him.

Dr. McGavin is the head of a well run practice! He treats his patients exceptionally well, and with a high degree of professionalism. He does extremely good dental work, and I would not hesitate in recommending family and friends to his practice.
