Dr McGavin has been my denstist for years. He is extremely good at what he does, he is very detail oriented and very fair! His staff is also very professional and know what they are doing. They are the best office I have ever been to. He will definitely be my dentist for ever!!

My family and I have been seeing Dr. McGavin as our dentist for over 10 yrs! We feel that he and his staff are professionals but are still personable. We live 30 min away and have several dentist offices closer to home to make appts and travel easier but... Dr. McGavin and his staff aren't there! We plan on continuing the relationship with Dr. McGavin and his staff as long as the doors remain open.

Dr. McGavin is an AMAZING dentist. I have been going to him for 10 yrs now because him & his staff are always so good to me. He even is willing to work with me when the bill gets a little expensive. He also cares about what's in your best interest & will give you all your options to help you decide what's best for you. Anybody in need of a dentist that is friendly, caring, & does a great job should go see Scott!

My wife has been going to Dr. McGavin for quite a few years and loves the office and especially Dr. McGavin. It was my turn the other day, first dentist in 10+ years. The staff made me comfortable, the procedures went smoothly and of course the dentist is great! I highly recommend West Jordan Family Dentistry, Dr. McGavin and his staff.

I have been visiting this dentist office for almost 20 years, and my husband has been going since the early 90s. The staff is very friendly and my kids are always at ease during their cleaning. Dr. McGavin will always tell you his honest opinion about having a procedure and if he feels it would benefit you. A recent example is I had to have an root canal at a Endodontist recently the after care instructions stated I would need a crown. I made the appointment for the crown with Dr. McGavin, and after he examined the tooth, he explained he felt the crown would not be necessary. He left the decision up to me, but gave me the facts. I appreciate that he thinks of his patients first.

I hunted for a while to find a dentist that I liked and did a great job on my teeth. Once I found Dr. McGavin I didn’t need to look any further. Easy to talk to and reasonable to work with. I definitely recommend him and his staff.

Had an issue with Dr. McGavin putting a filling in a tooth that he knew was scheduled to be extracted in the next few months for Orthodontic treatment. My child's Orthodontist had not only sent over the xrays marking the future extractions, but also had me call the Orthodontist office to have his assistant verify the teeth numbers during my child's appointment. My insurance was then billed for this filling and I was then called because there was a balance left over after I had paid upfront. The Office Manager was unprofessional and disrespectful when I called about the situation. She was yelling at me and interrupting. My Orthodontist office did confirm dates of the call and the date the xray was sent (I double checked incase I needed proof). Then my child was exposed to Covid and was required to quarantine which caused me to cancel an appointment (I was called by the health department that morning at 7am). I was billed for a cancelation fee for breaking the appointment because in June we contracted Covid and coincidentally it was the same situation where the school called me that morning of the appointment. I was then told the fee could not and WOULD not be waived. I was billed for this fee because it happened twice. I did notify them of the situations and have proof from the Health Department for BOTH dates. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB with my proof for unlawful billing if they choose not to remove the fee.

Dr. McGavin is a GREAT dentist! The hygienist's are gentle, thorough, and friendly. Dr. McGavin is very caring and honest. I always feel comfortable and confident in his care. I have been a patient for 17 years, and am very satisfied.

Dr. McGavin has been my dentist for 25 years, I wouldn’t think of going to anyone else. He goes above and beyond what you would expect. He always spends time talking with me after my treatments and catches up on my life and family. It’s not the assembly line experience you typically get with most medical professionals. But most of all, he is an excellent dentist and an honest person that you can trust.

What a great Dentist! My 8 yr old son had an accident and chipped his permanent front tooth. Dr. McGavin happily came in on his day off to repair it. My kids always feel comfortable around Dr. McGavin, and his assistants are always kind to our kids. We would (and have) recommended Dr. Gavin to all we know.
