West Jordan Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics

Went in for our first time to get checked. The dentist told me that I have two root canal‘s and one cavity . They told me the price for JUST one root Canal to be fixed was 1200$. (In network and covered) I thought that was a little steep so I decided to get a second opinion at Pinecrest dental they have awesome reviews . Come to find out I only have ONE root canal and two small cavities. For all three teeth and everything together it’s 956$. I KNEW modern dentistry was trying to scam me. Follow your instincts and do some research if they tell you need work done. Also, calling 1800 dentist they give you great dentist with great reviews that are COVERED through your insurance. I 100% don’t trust modern dentistry with my kids teeth or mine.

I needed to have dentures and was a little scared of The Whole process. Christine Goodall DDS is the dentist that I received my third opinion from. I must say from setting up the whole process with the finance portion, estimates, and appt. setting, this office is outstanding! I love everyone there from the ladies at the front desk, the dental assistant’s to the Dentist, Christine Goodall. They handled everything with such professionalism and grace. I have had to go in a few times for adjustments and getting stitches out, it’s been the same great service every time. They walked me through everything to expect and listened to all my concerns. I am extremely pleased with my new dentures. They look beautiful and after only 2 1/2 weeks they feel just as great as they look. I’m getting many compliments on how real they look. I would highly recommend this office for any dental services. In fact, I am now using them for my other family members. Thank You Modern Denstry. I can’t thank you enough for the care you have provided me in my new journey. I look forward to my new found relationship with this outstanding dentist office. Keep up the great work and giving others the same great service that I have received. Love my smile for the first time in over 50 years.

The Team at West Jordan Modern Dentistry is amazing! I went in to get a tooth pulled and they helped me setup a program for me to get my teeth redone so i could finally get dentures. Within 2 weeks I was back there and got 17 teeth extracted and got a top denture put it. I just went in for an adjustment today and Dr. Kevin did an amazing job on the adjustment. I can't thank Dr. Kevin enough for helping me get a nice new smile!

Me and my mom both go here with different dentists and we both love it! I go to Dr. Goodell, who is wonderful.
Darlene is extremely kind and is gentle with her cleanings, and everybody at the front desk is always helpful and sweet.

A very organized, efficient business. Living out of state, Brittini, the Office Manager, accommodated my travel window to perform a tricky implant procedure. I had the utmost confidence in everyone from Raven, the dental assistant, to Dr. Burr’s judgement on the placement of one of my front teeth. I felt welcomed and found comfort in the fact that everyone at this dentistry had my best interest in mind. I would certainly recommend West Jordan Modern Dentistry to any person or family looking for a reliable, professional, and caring dentistry.

Coming in I scheduled a regular cleaning. Xrays were taken (about 30 of them) that were not discussed nor covered by my insurance because they WERE NOT ROUTINE. I met with Dr Smith who recommended a deep cleaning, and told me I would have to pay over $400 to get it done. Whoever is in billing quoted me the wrong amounts. I work in insurance, and know my deductible and percentage afterwards. When a patient comes in and gives you their insurance information, you don't push procedures that aren't covered, just to get more money in your pocket. With COVID everyone is struggling for money, and you attempted to take advantage of my finances while I was in office. I received a bill for over $300 for xrays and a "consultation", if you can even call the 3 minutes I had with Dr Smith such thing. My insurance helped me and got the charges written off. I have established care with a different provider, who doesn't push his patients to financial hardship. When a patient is telling you no, then you should listen, not try to push multiple payment plan options down their throat. I couldn't get out of that place fast enough and was very uncomfortable while there. I hope other patients don't have the same experience, and if they do they have the voice to go elsewhere and say no.

I found an offer in Facebook from this office. They offered a full check, x-rays, and cleaning for $39.00. After I clicked on the ad I had to fill out a form, they took a while to call me back, I could not get a hold of anyone for about 10 days. When I finally got the appointment, after about 20 X-Ray takes, the told me that the total work in my mouth would be over $6400.00 unless I signed up for a special discount plan and paid $111, which would discount it to about $3280. When I asked for the cleaning in the offer, they said that it was just for a basic cleaning and I needed a deeper cleaning that would cost almost Two Thousand Dollars! After I scheduled the cleaning appointment they asked for the $39, I paid with a $50 bill, they didn't have change and asked if I wanted to just put it towards my bill. I said no.
After I got the change, I asked if I would get my 39 dollars back if I chose not to do the cleaning with them. They said no, that it would go towards the X-rays.
This $39 dollar offer just feels like a scam to attract people and charge them a lot for work they didn't even know they need.

Dr Kevin Chittenden was great! He listened carefully, checked me out with exrays and fixed me up perfectly! I had been in my office chewing on a piece of candy when a temporary cap came off leaving a very jagged edge and ackward situation. I soon learned my dentist was closed on Fridays! An employee recommended Modern Dentistry. I called and the nicest assistant ran back and ask the dentist if he could fit me in. They told me to come right over! The sign in and set up for paperwork was the easiest I've ever seen. The dental tech got me xrayed. Before the dentist started work the assistant came in and explained the costs. The costs for everything was only about $150! I was paying cash. I was amazed. They spent almost an hour with me total! He did a great job! I would highly recommend this place to anyone needing dental care! I'm going to send a message out to everyone in my company about these folks!

I'm extremely grateful for the care I received on a emergency basis while visiting my family for the holidays in Utah! I'm pain free and almost clear of my infection. Dr. Burr is kind, honest and generous. He is obviously very intelligent and knows his stuff! He has an amazing staff who are effeciant professional and caring☆ a special thanks to his dental assistance........ 😆

Please be careful so you don’t get ripped off. Worst experience and the worst dentist ever .
