South River Dentistry, Dr. Jeff Blackburn, the front office staff, hygienists, and assistants are all professionals, talented and capable at the art of keeping teeth beautiful, but it's their warmth and friendliness that have made me, my mom, my dad, and both my brothers lifelong patients, and now my husband, a "newish" patient, visit the practice year after year. The girls who manage the front of the office always greet visitors with smiles and me, a VIP :0) dental patient, with well wishes for my entire family. They are accommodating as well, squeezing me in when need be. So is Dr. Blackburn, who once opened the practice over the weekend to perform an emergency procedure on me! Jeff is a pillar of the community and involved in various youth organizations, coaching and volunteering in his free time, so every visit is an opportunity to catch up on his next "project". The facility itself is also pristine and equipped with cutting edge instruments and implements. No Stars. I have utilized this dentist for about 4 years and this was the first time that I felt disrespected. The current staff was very unprofessional. There is a proper way to address clients and they did not even attempt to handle my issue with care. I went in for a simple cap reinstall and was suggested services that would have increased my bill but not necessary. Repeatedly asked if I wanted the service after I said ok to the service as if they desired me to decline. I finally did decline and walked out. From the front desk to the doctor and the dental assistant. Gone are the days of the middle aged doctors that are professional and care about patients and have been replaced with entitled millennials who carry themselves in a manner that says you need me I do not need you.

I have had a lifelong fear of going to the dentist, but everyone at South River Dentistry puts that fear to rest. Every part of the visit is easy. Dr. Blackburn is the absolute best. I could not ask for a better dentist. He put me at ease immediately. I highly recommend South River Dentistry. From routine care to veneers, they are the best. Also, if you are looking for a great hygienist just ask for Wendy. She is awesome at her job!
