Dr. Blackburn has been my dentist for almost 25 years. The most recent 22 years I have traveled from Fairfax County for semi-annual office visits and the occassional fillings, crown and most recently a bridge. In addition to quality dental work, Dr. Blackburn and his entire staff have shown unfailing thoughtfulness and understanding when I was anxious and not at my best. I recommend South River Dentistry without hesitation!!

Pretty impressed by this practice. Are they busy, yes...do they make you feel like the only client in the office, YES! I definitely appreciate their diligence getting me up to par on routine cleanings and dealing with the real issues, versus up selling services. To be honest, there are some cosmetic things I would do, and I would engage those services here because or the lack of pressure.
So simply, thanks to everyone at South River Dentistry...see you in 6 months!

South River Dentistry- The staff was nice and friendly. There was this aura that I felt. Very different from other dentistry. It's family oriented atmosphere. We were disappointed that they don't do traditional braces. Dr. Lee

DR. BLACKBURN is Definitely “The Best” in town, with modern imaging, and the vast experience & knowledge to recognize what dental work needs to be done in it’s entirety is priceless when it comes to your long term dental health . The TV commercials are spot on for sure :)

I needed extensive dental work because I feared the dentist, (to put it mildly). Then I read about sedation dentistry and thought this is what I need to finally get my mouth fixed. So, I went to 5 other dentist before I found Dr. Blackburn. The other dentists said they were there to help me, but, after each new visit, I found out that they were not listening to me. Then I went to Dr. Blackburn and got the shock of my life because he did listen to me. His treatment plan for me reflected our conversations. That is why he is my dentist. Before he fixed my mouth, I was always the last one to finish a meal with my husband. But, not anymore. He no longer needs to sit at the dinner table long after he has finished his meal because he don't want to be rude and I can finally finish my meal while it's still warm. Soon after my dental work was completed, I actually finished before him and I sat while he finished his dinner. It was a good feeling for a change. He was so pleased to have lost that contest and I am so pleased with Dr. Blackburn. His manner and wit is an added perk. His ability and knowledge is second to none and his staff closely reflects his work ethic and experience. My life has changed in many ways since I met Dr. Blackburn. I will always be grateful to him and consider myself extremely lucky to be his patient. BTW, I haven't written much about my dental procedures because I don't remember them. I was out like a light and when I awoke, I looked in the mirror and couldn't believe my eyes. My mouth was now healthy and I no longer suffer from digestive problems because I couldn't chew my food. And, I know my heart will no longer suffer from an unhealthy mouth. The Dr. Blackburn experience changed my life and I encourage anyone who fears the dentist to give him a try. What do you have to lose except an unhealthy mouth? I have recommended Dr. Blackburn to several people because he is G-R-E-A-T!!!

Knowledgeable staff and great service. Appointments are punctual. The most enjoyable cleaning process with state of the art dentistry. I drive 25 minutes for their service. I even tried another practice closer to my home, but had to come back South River Dentistry for the quality they provide. Thank you!!
