Complete Dental Care of Richmond

I was so pleased with everyone. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Dr. Barbato and the imaging technician(forgot his name) were both very nice and gentle. They explained everything they were going to do before they did it. I really appreciated that as I was very nervous. They made me feel at ease. Look forward to seeing them again.

It’s a nice looking office, but the parking lot is so small it’s difficult to navigate. As I was escorted back to a dental room, two people almost ran into me, not as if they were rushing around because they were super busy, but more like they just wanted to be in front of me and couldn’t wait for ne to walk by, a little rude, I’d say, and not very customer centric. No one introduced themselves, nor did they explain what procedures they were doing, even when I asked why she was assigning numbers to my teeth, I didn’t get an answer. I was there for an hour and a half for an annual cleaning and checkup and never received the cleaning. One dentist was quite stern with the staff when they did something incorrectly, her tone with them was inappropriate, as patients can hear you.

I like my dentist, but this new office could use some training on professional soft skills and bedside manner.

They are great at sending reminders so you don’t miss your appointment but I just sat in the lobby for 30 minutes, 20 minutes after my appointment time and no one came out to give me an update as to what was going on and what was causing the delay. Will not be coming back not just because of this but the because of the decline of customer service I have received over the last year of being a patient here.

Summary: The dental hygienist Summer, left me feeling a lot of pain and incorrectly did (and basically blew off) my screening for oral cancer after we discussed in a cancer survivor.

I drove from the city since I heard great reviews about this place. This was my first appointment with this practice and I am extremely disappointed and in pain even after 10 hours, anti-inflammation mouth wash, and taking advil.

My dental hygienist, Summer, seemed rushed throughout my entire cleaning. Apparently she was their best hygienist which is extremely concerning. Throughout my appointment it felt like she was stabbing me with the tools and was bleeding a lot to the point where I got blood on the napkin they put around your neck. When I told her I was in pain she said “take advil” Now: I have great teeth and dental hygiene and was told this by 3 employees while I was there. So there was NO reason for my teeth to hurt like that other than how she was cleaning them. She also did not tell me what she was doing each time or explain what she was talking about.

I am a cancer survivor and we talked about that. At the end of the cleaning she left the room and came back with a blue light and shined it over my teeth quickly without saying anything. I asked what it was and she said it was my cancer screening. I asked why she didn’t tell me and she said she did (she did in the beginning of the appointment but didn’t explain what the screening looked like) I told her that she needs to tell me what she’s doing prior to doing it. She said “sorry… the screening is clear” and left.

When the doctor came in I told them about this situation and asked for a new screening. Summer did not do the screening correctly at all: she didn’t even touch my mouth to make sure the light hit every surface of my mouth/gums.

I am extremely disgusted with how Summer handled this entire visit and I’m still in pain 10 hours later. It’s really disappointing because everyone else at the office was extremely kind especially the manager and receptionist. The facility was clean and they have very up to date technology that was very impressive. I just don’t know if I’d trust their other hygienists given that Summer is their best…

I love this dentist office. From the reception desk to the back everyone is nice, polite, professional and the dentist office is very clean. The dentist and the staff is very knowledgeable of what they don’t want.

I had an incredibly poor experience here and will not be returning. I've never been to a dental office that makes it so obvious that they're just trying to bill out as many procedures as possible to your insurance like these people, three sets of x-rays and an "exam" (lasted 2-3 minutes) just to tell me the same thing my last dentist told me with a simple visual inspection (at a fraction of the cost). The dentist offered little help when I asked questions about jaw swelling and the infection my last dentist was concerned about and seemed "too bothered" to do anything more than dismiss said questions. It was truly telling when they tried to get me to sign off on having a crown billed to my insurance before I've even scheduled for a root canal with the endodontist, the technicians and the dentists act like they're paid a commission for upselling people on services that they do a poor job performing.

My experience at Complete Dental Care of Richmond was great, even though I went for my 6 month cleaning, they did a lot more than I expected, which was so nice and helpful.😁

Staff here is super friendly and make you feel at ease if you have dentist-phobia. Would definitely recommend coming her!

The wait time is too long. My appointment was at 9:30, and i had sit and wait for 1 hour. I completed my visit in 1 1/2 hrs. I dont like it, time is money. I have things to do, and my time was wasted

Update: I was wrong. This place is the worst. All the original office staff is gone, even the dentist. This place has canceled every appointment I've had since October because they are short staffed....ridiculous. Take my advice and stay away from this place....avoid the headache

The best dentist office ever. I always feel so comfortable and the staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. A special holla at Jackie...no one has ever cleaned my teeth as good as she does :)
