Dr. Olmstead and the staff of Liberty Lake Family Dentistry excel at dental science and technology. Their patient care is superb moving you from the office lobby to the exam room quickly. Explaining your dental care clearly and completing the procedures to send you on your way with a bright smile.

Went in for my annual check up and this was my 1st visit here for that exam. My hygienist was supper informative and let me know that my gyms sloughing off wasn’t normal and that my toothpaste I’d been using my whole life was probably the cause. Thank you for explaining that and helping my teeth look their best 😁 highly recommend

I have been going to this Dental Practice for several years and Dr. Olmstead as well as Loretta and the rest of the staff have always been wonderful. I suffer from "white coat" syndrome so going to the dentist is very difficult and anxiety ridden for me, Dr. Olmstead and everyone always does their absolute best to make me feel comfortable ease my anxiety. I also find Dr. Olmstead very gentle and not heavy handed at all. i highly recommend this facility.

This Dentist made several of my teeth food traps so I would end up getting root canals and extractions. I ended up getting numbed twice because they were over booked!!!

Great care as always. I really like the staff and Dr Olmstead which is saying a lot as I don’t like dentists at all. Dr Olmstead not only takes good care of your teeth but she cares about what they and you look like when the work is done. I have straight teeth for the first time in my life and I am 65! Short of getting braces I thought the only way that would happen was if I got dentures. I couldn’t be happier. Thanks Dr Olmstead!🤗

Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience at this office. At my initial appointment the usually charting was preformed and a treatment plan was created. At my follow up visit, I was informed the dentist who I saw originally no longer worked at the office and that all of his patients files were being reviewed. None of this bothered me terrible, although the new treatment plan had more issues than the first. The new dentist I had beat me up pretty badly while placing a composite filling (and I have a high tolerance for pain. I have very tight contacts between some teeth so I understand it was difficult for him, however, this is were the negligence began. I had to go back due to that composite falling out literally before I got home. On my return visit, the procedure was even more rough. I began to feel pain in the tooth very soon after that visit. I requested to see at different dentist at this point. I was told my bite was probably still off, radiographs were taken again (I didn't see them) and then they adjusted it once more even though my bite didn't feel like the issue. A few weeks later I had to go back again as the pain had gotten worse and the abscess was actually visible on the exterior of my gum. Radiographs were taken again. I can read dental radiographs and more than one dental personnel neglected to identify and communicate to me what was clearly visible on the x-ray (abscess). When I identified it I was told to wait a few months (while in pain) and see what happens but that I would probably need a root canal. Waiting would have been unhealthy. No other options were given, no explanations, just deal with it and come back in a few months so we can take the easy, least safe route available and make some money. It is very likely the abscess was caused by the dentist who placed the composite filling on the abscessed tooth. That's an accusation I cannot prove however as I do not have the original radiographs that were taken prior to the work being done nor could I see them at my last visit.

All of this was brought to the attention of Dr. Olmstread to no avail. She was equally tight lipped, in fact more so.

This practice has shown me they condone negligence. If you choose them as your care provider I implore you to exercise extreme caution.

I do not think it is fair to tell someone they need an almost $1100 procedure done, and not be honest about the cost. When you are sat down and given a piece of paper that shows what your portion will be, and what your insurance will pay, I assume that benefits have really been checked. I did not expect to receive a bill a month later for the full cost of the procedure because insurance denied it altogether. When I asked Barb the billing manager why I wasn't informed ahead of time it was too soon to have that procedure done, she informed me that the estimate was a computer generated response that gives an estimate "on what the cost will be IF your insurance covers it". She also informed me that I, the patient, should have done my own pre determination. Sorry, I thought that is what the billing department there is paid to do?? I work in insurance and we check all benefits before hand to give the patient an as close to accurate estimate as possible. Not only are we checking for deductibles and co insurance amounts, but we also check for frequency limitations. I did not go to this office to specifically request to have a crown (who would??), but I was repeatedly told I needed to have it done. I was in no pain and I'm sure I could have waited the time frame needed until my insurance would cover this with no problems. On top of the almost $1100 bill I received, I had waited in my chair for over an hour and a half before I was finally told that the dentist was running late. I had to be numbed 2 separate times because it had wore off by the time they were finally ready for me. I had asked a few times while waiting if I should just reschedule, and I was told no he would still get to me and be done as quickly as possible (which he was) but I really wish I would have just got up and left! Would have saved myself $1059..

They are the best! I broke a tooth and they did a wonderful job of fixing it while putting me at ease (as much as possible) during the process. Hardly felt the shots. Very friendly people. Thank you!
