I had 4 crowns re-done here and had a wonderful experience. All of the employees are kind and thoughtful, and my teeth came out looking wonderful. I regularly get compliments on my nice smile, and friends who have known me for years (with my old crowns) have remarked on what an improvement the new teeth are. Love this place and would give it 10 stars if it was an option. I also appreciated how kid friendly the environment was both for the patrons and the staff...Dr. Edwards seems to really care about the people who work for him.

Outstanding visit for cleaning yesterday. . Best hygienist and best dentists anywhere, not just Olympia. The front office is outstanding. You guys are just terrific. Lucky to have this level of care in our area. It is so obvious that you guys work hard to be the best, and have fun doing it.

I've been very pleased. They get you in and answer your questions. And fix the problem.

I love this place! They really care about you and remember what you talked about the last time you came in. The inside is very clean and relaxing. I would know clean, I work at an urgent care. The chairs even give you a massage. My Dr. and his assistant were fantastic! My husband goes here, I go here and once my daughter has teeth she will go here too.

I really enjoyed my first visit to Deschutes River Dentistry. My first impression was on the phone, making the appointment. The person I spoke with was courteous and efficient. She was very nice.
When I arrived, the of f ice was clean and inviting, and I was warmly greeted. I didn't wait long to be seen, and the dental assistant was very professional and nice. She explained my dental benefits and what I could expect.
The dentist was friendly and thorough in his exam, and clearly explained the issue with my tooth, and his recommended treatment.
I won't hesitate to recommend Deschutes River Dentistry to others.

I've had a lot of work done at your practice and I haven't been disappointed yet. Your crowns fit perfectly the first time. Your staff is professional, friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to recommend you to everybody. Thank you for Dr. Edwards for the great work you have done for me.

Stripped my tooth down to the nerve, now I need a root canal.

Came in with a mild toothache. They said the tooth was cracked and that I had no cavities. While they were "fixing" the crack they said I had a cavity which they "fixed", costing me double what I was paying out of pocket for. The dentist left and the person filling my tooth crack/empty cavity seemed very confused, left me multiple times to get other tools, and after the procedure was incredibly nervous and suggested that I take a pain killers.

I left with sensitivity to heat and cold (that was not a problem prior to their operation) and with no space between the tooth they worked on and the next tooth. Couldn't even floss without the string breaking.

Came in x2 more times for them to shave the space between my teeth, while communicating that I hot and cold sensitivity that was not there before they worked on it. They said it's a "teeth grinding" issue but I have a night guard.

After consulting x2 other professionals in the dentistry field, including a specialist, I learned my nerve is exposed and it is an exposed root issue. The only way this MAY be fixed is with a root canal, or to full on remove my tooth altogether.

I would suggest NEVER going here. They charged nearly a grand to create a problem that will coast a grand to MAYBE fix.

I really wanted to like Dr. Edwards. I ended up seeing Dr. Edwards because he bought the practice of the dentist I had been seeing. My former dentist was wonderful and I completely trusted him. I've always taken great care of my teeth and have very few cavities. I was expecting to have a normal cleaning and short visit to meet my new dentist. However, I had a horrible experience with Dr. Edwards. As did every single other person I know who went to him. The first time I saw Dr. Edwards, this is how it went:
My normal hygienist told me how easy it was to clean my teeth because I had almost no build up and how rare that is. I waited 20 minutes for Dr. Edwards to finally come to take a look at my teeth while I could hear him bs'ing in the other room with someone else. When he finally came in, he told me I had 4 cavities and didn't know why my mouth was filled with cavities. He told me I must be eating way too much sugar and should cut down. I actually CAN'T eat sugar at all. The entire visit he was condescending. I knew something was amiss but I trusted that my former dentist wouldn't sell his practice to someone untrustworthy and I read some of the great reviews he has. I made an appointment to have the "cavities" filled, but I made it with the other dentist in the practice. When I went in to have them filled, the other dentist told me I had 2 very small cavities that didn't necessarily require fillings but that I could fill them and that the other 2 weren't cavities at all. I understand dentistry is a little bit subjective, so I could have chocked it up to a difference of opinion had that been an isolated experience.

Fast forward a few weeks and 2 different friends of mine have gone to see him. He told each of them they have 4-5 cavities each. One went elsewhere for a second opinion and was told they had ZERO cavities. The other friend unfortunately had Dr. Edwards fill them. She has been in excruciating pain ever since.

If you want to have unnecessary procedures done, he's your dentist. If you don't, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.
