Dental Associates of Hampton Cove, Lorrie Green, DMD

I am most reluctant to write a review because I really liked Lorrie Green. But I would suggest that anyone who is a new patient go and get a second opinion and not just blindly follow the paradigm that is laid on you the first visit. You owe it to your teeth. That said, I expect that Dr. Green is excellent at dental medicine, and certainly has the credentials. But all of the services that were implicated were a little over-the-top just to get to my real dental needs (cleaning, filling, or -maybe- a crown)

Sadly, my experiences tend to get in the way of following this dental paradigm or others. Some years ago I let my son take my car (BMW) to Jax to see a friend. While there, it overheated. So I said, "take it to a dealer and get it fixed. I will cover". My inexperienced son took it to Herrin-Gear, and I suddenly was faced with a bill for $2,500. Yikes! They told him that they needed to replace the entire cooling system (and, as I ascertained later, the only thing that was wrong was a broken thermostat, $50-$75). There is an analogy here.

And, as I also discovered, her office does not know how to deal with Medicare/Tricare. But they do know how to deal with Medicaid. And the rates for non-insurance (pay-as-you-go, which is what I fell back to) are just as high as if covered by insurance.

I really liked Lorrie Green, and I truly wish that she would change her paradigm and her billing.

Dr Green and her staff are awesome and provide first class service. The Office staff is so friendly and accommodating. I would recommend them to anyone!

I love Dr. Green and her staff! I have been going here for over 3 years and it has been the best experience I have ever had at a dentist office.

We just moved to the area and I had a dental emergency. I called around to several other offices that couldn’t get me in until Monday. I’m in severe pain as my molar is fractured and infected. Dr. Green got me in this afternoon. She and her staff were AMAZING!!! I had to wait for a little while and she and several members of her staff apologized for my wait. I’m extremely grateful for their kindness and help.

Was in for a long overdue cleaning and needed some X-rays and a Panograph. Upon arrival I was greeted warmly by the staff and immediately taken back for my cleaning/X-rays and Panograph. Rose, the Hygienist, did a great job cleaning my teeth and explained what she was doing the entire time. She has great chair side manner and is very reassuring and comforting. Once she completed my cleaning Dr. Green checked my teeth my X-rays and Panograph. She noticed some small white nodules on either side of my throat in the Panograph and a dark area above a crowned tooth. Dr. Green takes a very holistic approach to dentistry and she asked if I had headaches or stiffness in my neck. She also wanted me to see my family doctor for an Ultrasound to check my carotid arteries for plaque/cholesterol build up. Sure enough I went and had the ultrasound a few days later and there was a build up of plaque in my left carotid artery. My family doctor changed my medications and increased the dose to better combat further buildup and narrowing of the artery. Had Dr. Green not found this I could have had a stroke or worse in the future. To further evaluate the dark spot on the X-ray Dr. Green sent the X-ray to a local endodontist who, on the spot, verified Dr. Green's findings that I had a dead nerve deteriorating in the root canal and that it needed removal before it started building up pressure and causing lots of pain at the most inopportune time. Thank goodness she referred me to a great Endodontist who took care of the root canal. All in all a phenomenal experience with an office of skilled and caring professionals. I couldn't ask for better care. Thanks Again DAHC!!! Highly recommend this office for all your family dental needs. Tom.

I have a hard time going to the dentist. I hadn't even been for a cleaning in 10 years. I have a good bit of work to be done and I feel very comfortable coming here. They make it easy and work with me to give me a better chance of keeping some of my teeth. I would recommend them to friends. Thanks

Dental Associates of Hampton Cove is hands down one of the best dental practices I have been to. From the moment you walk in, Breanna at the front desk is very welcoming and helps make you feel at home and comfortable while you wait to be seen. I am a little self conscious about dental procedures but Maloy and Dr Green were very patient with me and took the time to explain everything before getting started. Personally I think their bed side manor is second to none. I am without a doubt a patient for life. I cannot say enough good things about this practice and its staff.

Had my first appt with Rose at DAHC for a cleaning and was very impressed. Rose was Great!!!! Very efficient, professional, and caring. No pain at all. The dentist was also great and explained all my issues and options. Very insightful and understanding. Was extremely happy with all the updates. The office is very efficient and pleasant. Nice coffe bar and the TVs are awesome in the operatories. Will definitly be going back!!!!!

Excellent visit with a professional/personable staff. Dr Green is amazing to work with and genuinely cares for her patients. I would definitely recommend Dental Associates of Hampton!
