Shedd Family & Cosmetic Dentistry

I recently moved to Huntsville from out of state, and read all of the favorable reviews for this dentist and practice. The experience at my first appointment was less than favorable. There were several red flags, including not requesting my dental records from my previous dentist, repeating a panoramic X-ray despite my having one a year ago, no bite wing X-rays taken, and an extensive and invasive treatment plan that was so unlike what my previous dentist would have recommended. I definitely recommend getting second opinions on any treatment plans at this office. The hygienist Barbara was very thorough and nice, and was the one positive at my appointment. I'm sharing my experience to make people aware of the practices at this office, and to prevent the same thing happening to someone else.

For my first visit I was scared. I really didn’t have any confidence but I was welcomed as if I was a family member there. I like that about this Shedd Family and Cosmetic Dentistry I am very happy with my service and can’t wait to get my teeth fixed and have them as my dentist. Thank you for making me feel a little bit better about my situation, and I highly recommend their dentistry. They are caring understanding, and willing to help you in anyway they can. specially, the young lady that took my x-rays you got me through today and I appreciate you for that! And once again, thank you for letting me know that all hope wasn’t lost for me to see my smile once again.

Amazing customer service, and the whole team makes sure you’re comfortable, that you understand the concerns and processes, and help make sure you can make the best decisions without feeling pressured into certain payments.
Ms. Sandra at the front desk is so sweet and phenomenal, definitely makes the best first impression for the whole office.
Ms. Tracy has been my tech thus far. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to the dentist chair and she is so comforting and kind during the entire visit, she definitely makes it better for me. Dr. Shedd is efficient, kind, answers all my questions, and has a gentle touch. Highly recommend this office if you’re looking for a dental provider. 5 stars and then some!

Dr. Shedd is very professional and has a great personality to go with it which makes you feel very comfortable! He is so gentle with his treatment and you can tell he really cares about his patients and their dental health. His staff is always so nice and accommodating!

Great experience! Very friendly staff, and very accommodating. Dr. Shedd was very knowledgeable and thorough, giving me treatment and scheduling options that worked with my schedule. I highly recommend this practice (and as a pediatric dentist, I refer adult patients here whenever I am asked for a good dentist for my patients’ parents).

I had my first visit today. I got a teeth cleaning, x-rays, and a game plan for a future visit. A sweet lady Named Barbara was the tech who helped me today and was awesome. The Dr. Shedd was very nice and professional. The lady that set me up for my next appointment was super helpful and very nice as well!
