This is a little long but worth the read. We recently switched to Alaska Dental Arts Fairbanks after we found out our other dentist wasn’t in the preferred network plan with our current insurance. I called around and read reviews and found nothing but great things when it came to the work that Alaska Dental Arts Fairbanks provides to our community and their patients.
When I went to Alaska Dental Arts Fairbanks office, it was a very modern, clean and had an extremely friendly atmosphere. The receptionists were very helpful on providing me with the information I needed in order to switch my entire family over to their practice. They made the transition of switching providers go smoothly and painless.
The fist interaction with DMD Lowe’s dental hygienist was amazing, she had all our records and only had to take very few x-rays. The cleaning was quick, thorough, and painless. DMD Lowe reviewed my chart and went over a few procedures that he thought I could benefit from. He was able to show me the benefit of doing them now and my part of the deductible after our insurance paid their portion. * This is one of the benefits of going with an in-network provider when it comes to your insurance quotes/prices.* I would like to point out how fast he was able to quote me, with other dentist it could take a few days because they have to call your insurance etc..
DMD Lowe and his assistant performed the procedure for the three crowns because I had one bad filling and an old injury where I broke my two front teeth from falling and the fillings kept breaking. The whole procedure went by very fast and with little pain. His assistant made my temporary crowns to perfection and looks like real teeth, while I wait for my new crowns to come in. Lowe and his staff are amazing people and do fantastic work. Without a doubt I would recommend Alaska Dental Arts Fairbanks to all my friends and family.

My experience with Alaska Dental Arts has always been exceptional! The front desk staff was so helpful when it came to planning my daughter's treatment. They explained everything in detail and my our experience so easy. Dr. Lowe and his hygienist were rental and caring when it came to her treatments. As long as I am stationed here I will be using this clinic for all of our dental care.

He opened the office just for my daughter on a Friday. She needed cavities filled. Which is not fun! The Dr. and the assistant were great about keeping her calm and happy and distracted her from the procedure. The assistant was kind and a lot of fun to talk to while waiting for each filling to set. The office staff is kind and courteous and goes the extra mile in booking appointments and dealing with my insurance. Thank you Dr. Lowe!

Dr. Lowe & his staff are phenomenal. I cannot thank them enough. Every time I needed to come in, I've gotten in right away & have gotten superior customer service. I had to have 2 crowns placed & I was not looking forward to it as I've never had dental work before and the anxiety was overwhelming. Dr. Lowe & his assistants made sure I was comfortable at all times, thoroughly explaining each step and taking their time to ensure it was done properly. My new crowns match my teeth PERFECTLY. They fit like a glove, I can't even tell they're any different than my original teeth - AT ALL. I was so scared that I would be uncomfortable for the rest of my life, with hot/cold sensitivity, uneven bite, etc. but I am certain now that I made the right choice. Highly recommend!

I am so glad I found this dentist. It was a lucky accident. I came to him originally because he accepted Medicaid. Now I would go to him regardless. He is fast and gentle. He is a magician when it comes to fixing things I didn't think he could fix. I am not fearful when I go in for an appointment because I know he will make the experience as painless as possible. I heartily recommend Alaska Dental Arts and Dr. Allen Smith.

I had a great experience with my Mom needing a denture fabricated. We ended up being unhappy with a few things regarding her permanent denture and they went above and beyond to make it perfect for us. I can’t thank them enough for truly caring about our wants and needs!

Dr. Jenson was so bad. He was not a dentist who cared for people that had dental anxiety. He burned my lip during a root canal treatment. I still have pain in my lip sometimes where it was burned. I now have major anxiety about going to the dentist because of that incident. Although this dentist went back to his hometown his wife was very nice. I don't know how the practice is now with the new dentist working there but I did not have a good experience when I went. There is other stuff too like being annoyed that I wanted pills for the second root canal because I was traumatized by the first one he did after he burned my lip. Alaska Dental Arts keeps sending me messages to write a review and I am sick of it so here is my honest review and you can take me off your email list! There are many qualified dentist in town that have compassion to see. Thank you!
