I was terrified to return to a dentist as my previous experiences have not been very good, but when I was in a lot of pain from one of my crowns I came across Dr. Kalika's website, and after reading reviews stating they cater to fearful people like me I thought I'd give him a try. He was very understanding from the get-go regarding my concern of pain, pain management and previous bad experiences. I needed a root canal and decided on Oral Sedation for my root canal and was amazed that I did not feel any discomfort, even the shot for numbing the area for the root canal was a breeze. I can't say enough how wonderful the staff & Dr. Kalika was regarding me being such a fearful patient and disarming those fears, and most importantly, the no-pain from the onset of the entire procedure. Thank you from the bottom of my root canal!

Dr. Kalika defenitly picked the right profession. He is gentle, knowledgeable and explained every step of every procedure. The office is extremely clean which is always a plus and the staff is pretty amazing also! I was greeted with a smile upon arrival. Ada showed much professionalism and patience while answering all of my questions throughly and putting me at ease with the billing/insurance.

I went to school for Dental Assisting, so I know when a facility is financially driven. From my first visit until my last, this has been a terrible experience. You are not a patient at this office you are a financial number. I have top of the line dental insurance and with any plan there is stipulations. For one year I sat back and waited for a phone call with the results of my request for service from my insurance. They sent me over 20 letters with the approval and when I would call the office they would say they received nothing yet. So after almost exactly a year, I decide to call the Dentist again, at this point they quote me notes from conversations that never took place, such as I called in and did not want to bring the paperwork from my insurance and that I would just call them myself. I was so eager for this procedure, I would have happily brought in my paperwork. So now they are falsely notating my account. Then the nice lady today, who knew things seemed wrong on my account, was kind enough to notify me that due to a clause my insurance would not cover the procedure. So if this is true for one year I no longer meant something to your office cause you did not see a financial gain. Wouldn't a phone call be a common business practice to keep me informed? What if I would have been willing to pay cash? Now you will never know. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU ARE OK WITH BEING A FINANCIAL NUMBER.

Dr. Kalika and Veronica are terrific. They take time with each patient and don't rush through the exam. Front office personnel are great. From start to finish you are treated great.

I hate dental visits and have terrible gag reflex😡Dr K is amazing and has a super high skill set. While most dentist are still fumbling over their tools he's finishing up the process. I can't say enough good things about this place and would recommend to anyone!!!

REFUSED FOR BEING 1 MINUTE LATE!
My sister and I have been going to the Dental Center of Mesa twice a year for over 15 years, back when Dr. Goodman was the dentist. We moved from Mesa to Tempe a few years ago but continued to go out of loyalty. We were driving to her dentist appointment which was at 8:30 in the morning. My sister called at 8:20 to let them know we were almost there but may be a few minutes late (THIS WAS A BIG MISTAKE!).
The lady at the front desk was very nice but her supervisor wanted us to reschedule the appointment. It wasn’t even 8:30 yet and we were right around the corner. We pleaded with the lady at the front desk but there was nothing she could do. Her supervisor would not allow it. While my sister was on the phone rescheduling the appointment, we had arrived at the dentist at 8:31. We were one minute late and the supervisor still wanted us to reschedule!
I am appalled at the whole ordeal and have never experienced this the entire time I have been going to this dentist. What business refuses a paying customer for being 1 minute late? Are you trying to make money or piss people off? Even most employers allow employees a five-minute grace period. I can understand if we were 10 or 15 minutes late but 1 minute late? This was absolutely ridiculous!

My implant post broke. The dentist who originally installed it wanted to remove the entire bone-fused implant and install a larger one with multiple visits required and months of healing etc. with no discount for the failed post. Dr. Kalika found another solution that had me in and out of his office in two hours. No return visits or long healing time. I have my tooth back and for a lot less money. Very friendly staff and nice environment. Yay!

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Kalika and all that he has done for me and my smile for the last 7 + years. I however want to warn anyone that goes to this office that numerous times by their administrator Ada I have been advised that a procedure was covered. This last time around advised, that she called my insurance company directly and they are covering the procedure minus the $$ paid in the office that day. ONLY to be hit with an additional bill of $250 +. When talking with Ada directly today, she advised that she did talk with someone but that she couldn't guarantee payment. Then just left me a message to "call my insurance company". I think this is 100% unacceptable - I would most likely forgone the procedure at what I am "NOW" paying out of pocket. This is super shady and a terrible way to run a business. I will be taking my business elsewhere!

My last visit to Dr. Kalika's office was great. My crown had fallen out at work. The next day I called Dr. Kalika in desperate need and he made an exception and took me at 6:45am. Dr. Kalika not only fixed my crown perfectly, but also the staff and service was phenominal. It's so hard to find a good dentist and Dr. Kalika is better than good...he is the best. The staff always goes the extra mile for me too, and can't thank Dr. Kalika and his staff enough.
