Sabino Hills Family Dentistry

My wife had a terrific toothache that needed immediate attention. On Sunday, I found Dr Allen on Google and contacted his office seeking an immediate appointment. To my surprise, he emailed me back even though he was on vacation, and told me to contact his office to set up an appointment. This morning I took my wife into the dental office and Dr. Allen saw my wife and immediately sprung into action by eliminating her pain and discomfort. Dr Allen is young and extremely dedicated to resolving the most complex dental issues that we all face. I recommend him highly to one and all who are seeking a truly qualified and gifted Dentist.

Dr. Allen is the best dentist I have ever had, he really cares about his patients and does everything to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. I had my last wisdom tooth extracted by him he did a great job it was out in 3 min (it was already visible and not impacted) I had no pain the following day and he called me before he left on vacation. I always recommend him to my friends and coworkers. I also need to mention his staff very friendly and very polite to everybody, they have the best customer service.

we love sabino hills dentistry and dr allen! the entire staff is very nice and makes you feel welcome! Dr. Allen especially made all the appointments (yes multiple) very comfortable and somewhat enjoyable....and coming from someone who HATES dentist, that says a lot! he didn't make he feel bad or self conscience about my mouth and was able to take care of me pretty quickly. plus it doesn't hurt that there was a TV on the ceiling to literally sit back, relax and watch TV. i would totally recommend Dr Allen to anyone...especially if going to the dentist isn't your most favorite thing! it will be after a visit to Sabino Hills! :)

My husband Harry was in need of a Dentist here in Tucson AZ. After 2 initial visits with other dentist, he became discouraged because the dentist he had seen were not addressing the immediate issues he had going on with his teeth. I guess the third time is a charm because Harry scheduled an appointment with Dr. Michael Allen, DMD and returned with the issues he had pending completely taken care of. Harry was very impressed with the Dentist professionalism, up to date knowledge and options available, the friendly and efficient staff, and the clean and well thought out surroundings, just to name a few. Harry has me convinced, after all I know he is a difficult person to please. Harry recommends Dr. Allen to everyone, I know I will be going to see him soon.

I'm very disappointed. I was looking forward to making this our family dentist office. I had read some nice reviews of Dr Allen and enjoyed some of his hilarious videos. But this review is not about Dr Allen, but his office staff...which as a whole, is important to consider when choosing a family dental office.

I called in September to schedule an appointment for myself, my daughter and my husband. I had a very pleasant conversation with the scheduling person [I wrote her name down at the time of making the appointment, but I'm still searching for it]. She was very pleasant and even though I would need to wait two (2) months to get onto the schedule, I decided it would be fine.

I got my husband scheduled first...he needed an evening appointment due to work. He got scheduled and we moved on to the appointment for myself and my daughter (5yo). My appointment would be 1.5 hours and hers would be 1 hour. She got us scheduled, however her system crashed as she was trying to save the appointment. She apologized, but assured me that she would fix the issue on her end and happily ended the call with "See you in December!"

I had been looking forward to getting established again at a dental office, but found it odd that I didn't receive a follow up reminder call...but figured it could be due to COVID-19. I called and left a message for the staff, but their office opens late on Wed, so when I showed up to their office they said, "I just listened to your voice message and we do not have you on the schedule". I was confused since I had the specific times marked off my calendar. They confirmed my husband was scheduled, but both my daughter and I were not. They had everything except our schedule then made a condescending remark "Perhaps I needed to call them back to confirm." Excuse me? I didn't realize that you are incompetent in scheduling new patience that I needed to follow up on your job...but okay. They told me that their next availability is in February...another 2 months? Thanks no...

I already wasted 2 months waiting to be seen, scheduled time off work to come to the office for no reason...and although she was "nice", she was condescending? Uh, nope! I'm sure I will find a dentist office that has the full package...a good dentist and competent staff.

Dr. Allen and his staff are the best I've ever seen or experienced in a dentist environment. Everyone is very friendly and professional and yet it's a fun and light atmosphere. Dr. Allen has a personality like a child with the expertise of an amazing artistic orthodontist/dentist. He is not only the kindest dentist I've ever met, but he has a personality that you know that you want to be his friend for life. What you did for me to bring back my smile I can never thank you enough and in such a short time. I will always recommend you to everyone I know for the rest of my life. Thank you so much Dr. Allen I'm blessed to know you.

Excellent dentist, highly recommended. Wonderful staff, truly interested in your dental care. We (my wife and I) came to Sabino Hills Family Dentistry not happy with our previous dentist and wish we had made the change sooner... I actually look forward to seeing our dentist! Dr. Michael Allen and his staff form a comprehensive team, that is both friendly and highly competent. This dental office uses state-of-the-art technology and loves caring for people - I feel valued and well cared for here. My family and I don't actually mind going to see "The Dentist".

So glad to have a dentist that can see my whole family! I use to have to drive an hour for my kids to go to the dentist because of our insurance. I was so happy that we could all go to one place. Dr. Allen and his staff are very knowledgeable and helpful with the whole process from your insurance to your dental care.The office staff is super friendly and truly makes your dental experience one of a kind.

I am completely one of those people who will go out of their way not to see a dentist for years out of fear. After finally going for a long stretch of no treatment I gave up and saw someone for a couple of years. Unfortunately he confirmed my fears, so I was very hesitant to seek out another dentist. I held my breath and entered Dr. Allen's office and made an appt. His staff has been kind and understanding to my fears and Dr. Allen has been generous with his time and patience.

I just had a tooth extracted, which I was terrified to have done. What can I say except that it was an awesome experience! 5 minutes and it was over! I have had teeth pulled before with much different outcomes. High fives all around were given today. I can't thank Dr. Allen enough. I have more work to be done, but I am having a bit less trepidation now.
