Shalimar Family Dentistry

I really appreciate Shalimar Family Dentistry for seeing me after going three years without seeing a dentist. They were friendly, upbeat, and very considerate, especially given COVID precautions. Dr. V was very friendly and capable, along with the front office staff and team. So glad to find a military-friendly dentistry to meet my family's dental needs while we're here!

First visit I got X-ray done and noticed that the receptionist was kinda rude but I didn’t mind coz I thought she maybe having a bad day or something so I just ignore her attitude. Today went there to get my root deep cleaning and Ms.Kim took good care of me as well as the Dr. however, this receptionist again (the one who take care to do appt and bills) was very rude so I couldn’t take anymore of her attitude. Sadly, we will not go there anymore.

Called on a Monday with jaw pain, and had an appointment the next day. I showed up early and I was allowed to enter immediately (with the COVID-19 outbreak we cannot enter the offices until we are temperature checked). The doctor examined my teeth and took X-rays. A diagnosis was made and explained to me in detail. A remedy was made during the same visit. I figured I would have to have a return visit for the remedy but he fixed me up immediately! Always had the most fantastic service hands down here until recently. We've always had two dental insurances and never any issues. I had a crown completed and when someone here filed the original claim they neglected to say WHY the crown was required when they filed the claim with my secondary. My secondary denied the claim and explained why the claim was denied, but they kept resubmitting the claim exactly the same way. They said the mailed bill's to me, but I only received one. Normally all my insurance plans covers the cost of service so I'm not use to receiving any bill. After I called the secondary and called this office manager here back she was still acting like this whole situation was my fault. She finally agreed to resubmit the claim correctly and of course the secondary paid quickly. Point is this family practice style business that my family and I have been too for years and never missed any payments prior actually put me a collection service who then filed negative credit report on me. After the bill has been paid...the negative report still lingers. I'll not ever go here again and frankly shocked the Dentists allows this poor practice. I'm embarrassed I ever recommended people go here. If this has happened to anyone else, I would encourage you to report this to credit bureau. They track business ratings.

I know this review won’t be posted on the website with all the testimonials but I have to share this anyway.
I’ve been a patient for over 15 years and I brought my whole family there and it was always a great experience (as great as dental work can be) until recently a new receptionists lady was hired who goes after patients like a pit bull and people like us who always paid their bills for 15+ years. She’s rude and treating people with disrespect makes you feel like she wants nothing to do with you except to find ways to get more of your money. It really is a shame because this place always felt very “homey” and the people were professional and friendly. I have to give Dr.Fletcher a mention she is THE BEST dentist I’ve ever had. I will really miss her. I hope one day our family will be able to return and be able to recommend this establishment to our friends again until then we are off to find another dentistry.

Horrible Staff!

For many years my spouse and I received dental care under Dr. Fletcher. She's an awesome provider, but there's been longstanding problems with administrative staffing. We'd endured their rudeness, and unprofessionalism in exchange for quality dental care from Dr. Fletcher . Treating there was strictly on the merit of Dr. Fletcher, until last December when my spouse encountered a scheduling issue, and was demeaned, verbally battered, threatened to have law enforcement called on him by a poorly professional postured office manager. My spouse is mildly mannered, loving, and the least confrontational human being I have ever known. For this individual to treat him in the manner in which she did is unacceptable in general, and surely not for a dental office. Over the years, I've had former patients share synonymous stories of seriously disrespectful experiences with the admin staff. It is shameful that they're unchecked on the unhealthy practices flowing from the front desk. In summary, thank you Dr. Fletcher for the extensive care over the years, but I am happy not to return there.

They were willing to work around my busy work schedule, and were able to reschedule my tooth extraction a mere week after the original appointment.

I had had a less than optimal experience with a frazzled receptionist and they profusely apologized for the issue. They were more than polite to me, even offering water due to me having to ride my bike.

I have always had a great experience at Shalimar Dentistry. Been a customer for about 12 years, I had one emergency and they took care of me pronto. I would recommend them to all who ask about dental services. Very caring staff and flexible to your needs.

I do not like dentists normally, but am very pleased to have found Dr. Fletcher. She is very gentle and they helped me make a decision I was happy with and, along with my insurance, one I could afford. Recommend.
