I went to another office before this one and they told me I needed 7 fillings! I came to Loftus and they were blown away, telling me that my teeth were perfect. I had a few good experiences here. But the last one was terrible.
I came in for a cleaning. The assistant took me back and called the dentist over for an exam. I thought that was weird. I usually get the cleaning done first, but maybe the hygienist was busy. The dentist did the exam, picked around at my teeth for a minute, polished my teeth, then left. The assistant told me I was all done. I was so confused because I didnโt feel like I actually had a cleaning. I didnโt know if they were short staffed or someone called in sick, but thereโs a reason hygienists do the cleanings and not dentists. I felt like there was poor communication that day. No one told me what was happening. I was still confused as I walked out the door. It used to be a good office, but not anymore.

I am from the UK and happened to be travelling through Coeur dโAlene on a road trip when I developed a wisdom tooth infection. I stopped at this dental practice on the offchance they may be able to see me, but I didnโt have high hopes as back home it can take days/weeks and even months to see a dentist. They were just about to close but they said they could fit me in. The assistant who took my x-rays (I donโt remember his name unfortunately) was such a nice man- so polite, respectful, gentle and friendly. My wisdom tooth was quite challenging to x-ray but he got it eventually! I got given some antibiotics and was off on my way to Yellowstone. Couldnโt have been more pleased- Thank you again as I would have been in a a real pickle if I hadnโt been able to get treatment.

The worst dental visit of my whole life. Iโve had a sensitive spot thatโs also clearly a small/medium hole in my tooth (berry seeds regularly get stuck in it) and the dentist said I didnโt have any cavities. I mentioned that I thought that one spot may be a cavity (even the dental assistant thought a spot may be a cavity, but Iโm unfamiliar with the terminology to know where she was referring to) and the dentist totally blew both of us off. I guess to give the benefit of the doubt, itโs possible my teeth could have been worn down by teeth grinding or something? But then the dentist gave me the quickest, roughest cleaning of my life. I brush and floss my teeth every day, and most of my gums were bleeding and aching by the end of his โcleaningโ. It just seemed like there was zero connection or care for the patient.

I had an amazing experience . I was treated with such gentleness respect and kindness . I always have high anxiety and trauma with dentists but today there was such an ease and comfort with the gentle care . Iโm so thankful to have come and will definitely be coming back here for all my dental care needs.

I have gone to dr. Loftus for years. I hated dentist until him. He makes every visit comforting and pleasant. I would go to no other dentist.

The worst dental experience of my life. I went there for the first time and they told me I had several fillings. They did such a horrible job that I canโt even floss between my teeth now. Dr Loftus took what seemed like 2 minutes to clean my teeth. I didnโt think they had actually cleaned them it was so quick and inattentive. I later asked for my before and after X-rays to be sent to another dentist for review. I went into the office to ask, called twice, my husband called, and the other office called to request X-rays. I have been trying for 6 months. They keep saying they will send them but never do. I believe they do not want me to know they are a total scam office. Wish I could give this office zero stars.
