The McHenry Dentist

I have to tell you I’m very petrified of the dentist due to my dentist that I had years ago which made me stop going for maybe four years. I decided to give McHenry Dentist a try as my kids have been going for at least a year and talk nothing but amazing things about them.
I have never felt so comfortable at the dentist office in my life. First off very friendly when you walk in, get into your appointments fast, your dentist understands how nervous you can be or the pain you’re worried about and they make sure that you are comfortable and you don’t feel the pain. I have never had a deep cleaning in my life to where they had to put so many needles in my mouth and I didn’t feel one until I came here. I appreciate my dentist listening to me and understanding how scared I was. I’m getting married at the end of June and I had a missing tooth due to my last dentist well not anymore one week before my wedding and I have a new tooth…I love my partial. They got me in each month and I did everything they asked me to do from cleanings to taking care of my teeth at home and just being patient and it all paid off my partial came in time! I am going to be the happiest bride walking down the aisle to finally saying I do after 25 years. No worries same guy for 25 years but we raised our family before spending money on ourselves there needs always came first. So now that they are grown my wants came: first my partial and now my wedding! Thank you to everyone at the McHenry Dentist! Feeling blessed!

When I first came here a couple months ago they wanted my social security number. I have a discount dental plan. Not insurance. Red flag! They said I have to pay in cash. Cant use a debit card or a credit card. Red flag #2. They started a root canal. The dentist did not go deep enough and was hurting bad. They had me come in and she went deeper still not getting the nerve. They charged me an emergency visit when I paid for the entire root canal and thats part of the job where the person goes back as many times as it takes to make sure the entire nerve is gone. Red flag #3.

Then the next visit she went deeper and finished the job. Not waiting another week or two to make sure she got it all.

She rushed it and ran with the money. Now she wont open it back up to fix it. Still hurts and still sensistive. She said its a perfect job. 3 times and still cant get rid of the nerve and now its perfect?

Do not go here. They only care about money. They dont return after hours calls. I am going to Mchenry court house and look into filing a claim thru small claims court. Terrible business. Save yourself trouble and go somewhere else. Im out $1200 with a tooth that is not done correctly. Live and learn.

Do not waste your time here. Tech was nice but the dentist was completely rude about my teeth with no backstory. Didn't even bother to ask. Had me leave there crying by the way she talked to me about something I'm already self conscious about. You're better off finding a different dentist that will actually listen to your concerns and talk to you professionally and go through the options I didn't know that I had. I've already gotten most of the work done by another dentist and feel comfortable smiling again. Don't be rude to people because of the way their smile looks.

They accommodated My husband two kids and myself all at the same time and did a amazing job! Very quick and accurate and even my kids enjoyed the dentist!

Hi my name is brack brewer I have had a wonderful experience I'm usually terrified of the dentist not here they make me feel so calm I know I'm in good hands from the front office to the the dentist assistant and definitely the dentist love this place

So many issues with this office over the years.... today topped it off after transferring to a new dentist and called them to send my xrays.... they charged me $10 to email my own xrays... I already paid for. Unbelievable!!!!

All these reviews of the staff being rude is crazy. Everyone I've come in contact with have been nothing but sweet. Dr Bhow is literally the best dentist I've ever had too. I even told her that. She made me feel so comfortable during my tooth extraction & was so patient when I needed a break to close my mouth for a minute.

The people here truly care and are focused on 1 goal and that goal is to give you the best patient care possible! They go above and beyond and they truly love what they do and it shows! I had an AMAZING dental hygienist (I forgot her name) but she is from Jamaica and hearing her story and what she has done for people was amazing! She made sure I was fully taken care of and gave me options on how to fix my tooth that the insurance has denied. She truly cares about people and she truly loves what she does! I highly recommend this place!

Very nice office, nice waiting area. Dentists are very friendly. Care for patient is good.

My daughter had a root canal done and went in on 4-1-2022 for a crown. Upon being taken back for the crown I got a phone call not even 5 minutes into her visit and was told to come back. The doctor that was supposed to do the crown told me that she could not do the crown because a post was not put in after the root canal and then proceeded to tell me that I need to get my daughter an implant. I have a fixed income as I am not working and I know that my insurance will not cover an implant since we are on state insurance. I called and expressed my concerns was told I would get a call back. I called back today (a month later) after I never received the phone call and was told that I could get a list of options (that I have to pay for). I said no because they messed up they should be fixing it. My daughter lost her smile because of someone not doing their job correctly at this office. I will never go back and I will never refer anyone to them. The doctor that I spoke with today was very rude and unprofessional. I will be contacting an attorney for malpractice since I tried to work with them and figure something out but got nowhere.
