Im posting this under my husbands account-My husband and 3 daughters visited this dentist in March. They told my husband he needed a special type of cleaning that would cost over $1200 over the course of 3 visits. We went to another dentist to get a 2nd opinion and they charged my husband $100 for the cleaning. I received a phone call today from this office who apparently took the liberty of rescheduling an appointment for my husband and 3 daughters for this comingTuesday. The receptionist informed me that they calculate 6 months from your last visit and then THE OFFICE SCHEDULES THE APPOINTMENT FOR YOU. The receptionist also confirmed that had I not answered the phone to cancel the appointments they scheduled on OUR BEHALF that there would have been a $25 fee for each appointment that was missed...so $100 I would have been charged for appointments that I never made. This is not a dentist office but rather money hungry vultures

I was unhappy with my current dentist, so I made an appointment at Spring Valley Dental Group and saw Dr. Owen to get a second opinion on whether I needed sealants. (My current dentist wanted me to get sealants on all my molars, saying it was urgent, and necessary.) Dr. Owen took the time to examine my teeth, and explain in detail what sealants are, and who benefits from them. He only found that I might need a sealant on one tooth...keyword might. Dr. Owen said this is a wait and see situation. So he'll recheck that tooth in 6 months. It's so refreshing to find a dentist that I can build trust with going forward. I've decided to switch to Spring Valley Dental for all my dental needs and look forward to my 6 month cleaning appointment! Thanks Dr. Owen!
