Review of Indiana University School of Dentistry

Indiana University School of Dentistry is a dental school located in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a part of Indiana University, the school offers dental services to the community while also providing education to dental students. The school is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and closed on weekends.

The school provides a range of dental services, including cleanings, fillings, root canals, and extractions. The services are performed by dental students under the supervision of licensed dentists. Patients can expect to receive quality dental care at a fraction of the cost of private practice. The school also offers a flexible payment plan for those who need it.

While the school has received mixed reviews from patients, many have praised the professionalism and kindness of the staff. Some patients have reported longer wait times and occasional miscommunications, but overall, the school provides quality dental care at an affordable price.

It is important to note that as a dental school, the services provided may take longer than a typical dental visit. Patients should expect to spend around 2.5 hours for each appointment. Additionally, the school does not offer dental services for children under the age of 12.

If you are looking for affordable dental care and are willing to spend a little extra time for your appointments, Indiana University School of Dentistry may be a great option for you.

I have had two procedures done here now. The first one was to clean the decay out of my front tooth and build it back up it went amazing you can't even tell the tooth they rebuilt apart from my other teeth! The 2nd one was to pull a bad tooth and it also went amazing! I want to thank Hayden DePrez for her amazing work she has done this far and will continue to do this is the first dentist I have ever been to that I really look forward to go to and get my tooth work done and don't dread it the days before! She has been very caring and understand and you don't find that much anymore atleast not in my experience at a dentist!

Best place I've ever had my teeth done in my life. I love the calm, clean, and professional vibe that I feel every time I come here.

Do not go here! Not only have they made several billing mistakes but I have paid over $4000 for my teeth not to be fixed. The receptionist is rude and every time I speak to her my bill changes, I made two different appointments with a so-called patient advocate and both appointments were canceled by them stating she had an emergency both times and wasn’t able to speak with me. They have price gouged and have not once given me a statement of how much everything costs. I have been asking for months. I know that a regular dentist is expensive but it is so worth it! Please do not go here

After a few unsuccessful visits, I was switch to another student per my request. This student went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was positive. Alyssa went above and beyond, I am much more satisfied in her care. Thank you for waiving the cost of my last visit and for taking the time to care for me in such short notice!

Update 12/04/2018

Billing department is a joke. I wrote this review originally a few months ago stating that I was going to get my last visit waived. Joke was on me they never submitted a waive form for my last visit. So I was charged for it on my account. I have emailed and called about 6 times and I can't get in contact with anyone that's willing to help me take care of this.

I would like to use my 2018 dental benefits to cover my bill except the last visit that was supposed to be waived and nothing. This wouldn't even be happening of their billing people were willing to take down your insurance information when you're there in person. Twice I tried to give my insurance information only to be told to call in and give it. That's a set up for failure become when you call you can't ever get I'm contact with anyone.

I want to speak with someone higher up at this point. I will report this to the BBB soon.

Great place to get dental work at reduced costs. Students are trained and supervised very well. It takes time but overall worth it.

Well after covid19 hit and the school shut down for over 2 months, I was allready holding some resentment for the cancellation of my appointment 2 days before I was scheduled, but they called and I was one of the first appointments after they reopened, my student was very nice and polite. And is going to work with me to get my dentures done in just 1 week

I am so very happy to be back under the care of I. U. School of Dentistry. Am under the dental guidance of, what appears to be, a very qualified junior year student. Then throw in the very closely monitored instructors, you have top notch dental care. If you are one of those that thinks it takes too much time, redefine your thinking! When all is finished, you will be glad you did!

I have been going to IUPUI dental school for three years, the students are really professional and they go over everything that is going to happen before they do it, and the doctors that watch over the students check everything out to make sure it was done right before they sign off on it, I highly recommend you call and make an appointment and they will work with you on your bill and the cost is a whole lot cheaper then the regular dentist.

My son loves going there. His braces have made such a difference. We will miss his doctor when she graduates in July
