I have an anxiety with dental appointments. Dr. Goyal & Associates have always exuded a professional and personable environment. Their positive energy means everything to me. My recent appointment to replace a crown was an awesome experience, when I had anticipated the worse. I was so impressed and appreciated their newest technological investment to create and design my new permanent crown in 20 minutes within the office; no temporary crown or follow-up appointment was necessary. I highly recommend Dr Sahil Goyal DMD & Associates!!

These are sales people. Every single visit they will find something you "need" that isn't covered by your insurance. First I "needed" a $400 night guard which they said they would be checking during all future visits. I paid for the night guard and they have not asked about it at ALL since I got the night guard. Then they'll tell you to get the fluoride which is $20 extra. Then they'll quote you one price at check-in and by the time you check out the price has increased. I'm giving 3 stars because the work on my teeth is quality but they need to improve the communication when it comes to finances BEFORE the appointment and they need to stop selling to customers.

My experience at Columbia First Dentist was great walk in no long waiting to do. If you looking for a great Dentist Dr. Goyal is the one to call.

Both the dental hygienist & the doctor were the best.

I am always impressed by the professionalism of Dr. Goyal's entire office staff. They are responsive, knowledgeable, and caring. I feel fortunate to have found such a great dental team!

I had a horrible experience with Columbia Family Dentist. They overcharged me for my minor son’s Invisalign treatment. I paid the full amount in advance before he started the treatment. Then I discovered that they overcharged me at least $1,300.00 above the maximum accepted fee contracted between them as a provider and my insurance company. I contacted them to request a refund or at least an explanation for the overcharged fees and they could not provide this information either to me or to the insurance company.

I then submitted a complaint to the Attorney General’s office and finally was contacted by Columbia Family Dentist after 8 months of failed attempts to get a refund or any valid information. My son has turned 18 during these past 8 months. They offered a refund under a condition to sign a release form and they were adamant that my son must be the only person contacting them and signing the release form.

The release form or so they called turned out to be a 6-page settlement agreement. My son contacted them and pointed out some of the many concerns he had after reading it as it was very deceiving, full of errors and totally not related to billing complaint. He was told that they cannot provide advice on the form when it was basically a request to clarify some of the too many articles and rudely, received a reply back, “Bottom line: sign it or not, it is your choice.”

We are working on transferring the rest of his treatment to another orthodontist. I will file another complaint to the American and Maryland State Dental Association, contact Consumer Reports on NBC before I take this billing case to the court.

I have been going to this practice for several years. I went while Dr Epstein was the presiding dentist and stayed after he retired and Dr Goyal picked up the practice.

While Dr Goyal seems nice enough to me, his entire hygienist and front office staff have turned over numerous times. I would categorize the current front office team that is there now as rude, unprofessional and altogether unpleasant.

Scheduling has been a disaster (for a simple yearly check up). And the overall attitude of the staff has made the whole place pretty uninviting.

I can no longer recommend.
