Children & Family Dentistry & Braces of Mattapan

My daughter and I are extremely happy with all our visits at the Children and family dentistry of Mattapan! Always on top of our appointment scheduling and reminders!!Doctor Chen is Top Tier and is very meticulous abt his work! With a great personality to match!! Yari is by far our favorite dental assistant!! Thank you all so much!!

I had Dr. Z and Darius multiple times to get my fillings and they honestly are the best pair to get this done. Dr. Z is extremely nice, funny and you can tell he cares about his patients and their well-being. Dr. Z is also very honest. I had to get Novocain shots, which I never received before and Darius kept me so calm and reassured me I was okay. During both procedures, Dr. Z and Darius constantly checked to see if I was doing okay and if I needed anything. They have been very patient and sweet to me and even though I have no more fillings left to do, I’d still want to come and see them. I’m very happy with the care I received from Dr. Z and Darius and I would definitely recccoment hem to anyone that comes to this location. Everyone here is so nice and it makes me happy. I love love love Dr. Z and Darius and if there is anything wrong with my teeth in the future I will definitely come back to them. I live in near Rhode Island and it’s far from me, but it’s definitely worth it. I receive quality care here and I’m very pleased. ❤️

All my children and myself go here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The doctors are experience with small children, getting them to laugh and interacting during visits. My children are always comfortable sitting in the big chairs, getting their teeth brushed and flossed. That is once they get settled in talking with assistants and doctors. This place is great and get 5 stars every visit!

Very genial staff such as Yari and Ryan, they make you feel very welcomed and help make the process of going to the dentist a lot less intimidating. Been coming here for years and the front desk staff is very helpful. Clinicians here are excellent, Dr. Nguyen & Dr. Fang are knowledgeable plus very professional. Would bring my children if I had Any.

Cesar is the best they make my kids feel super duper comfortable and I would recommend them to anyone. Awesome staff and is willing to work around my schedule which is awesome. They also reassured me that dentist are not all bad and now I'm not afraid to go get my teeth checked. Thank you!

Since it’s not possible to leave 0 star, I guess 1 star will suffice for this experience. This was by far the worst experience I’ve had at this facility. I’ve been coming here for years. I called on Monday for an emergency appointment because of terrible toothache. I was given an Appointment the following day in the afternoon. Yay!

Upon arrival, I was told I Couldn’t be seen because insurance wasn’t active. I was told that the manager called in the morning and left me a voicemail regarding my insurance. The manager has gone out to get food so I waited to speak to her Since there’s no record of a call or voicemail on my phone.

Mariely, the manager, confirmed that she called me around 830a and left me a voicemail. I have no records of either. I showed her my phone that there was no call or voicemail. She then proceeded to tell me that it is the patient responsibility to ensure that the insurance is active prior to coming to the appointment. If that’s the case, why bother to contact people in the first place. She then proceeded to tell me, “I don’t know what to tell you. I called everyone who’s inactive in the morning and leave them voicemail.”

At this point, this woman is clearly lying because there’s absolutely no record of what she is saying to me. Even if her call did not show up on my phone, I would have gotten the voicemail.

The whole experience was annoying. I drove 45 minutes to this appointment and her responses were very nonchalant. She then told me it’s up to me I can pay for the service out of pocket. Paying out of pocket wasn’t a problem because I need to find out why I have this toothache but I refused to give my money to this facility after such horrible experience/customer service. I’d rather pay out of pocket at another facility.

Love this office. It was very refreshing to still see Mariely(office manager) & Cesar still be there after so many years. I've been coming here since it was a different company and as always a great office to visit. Everyone is so nice and pleasant. The Doctors are very informative and upfront. Thank you guys!

On 3/14 I had the pleasure of being serviced by this entity. I’ll begin by saying the staff is very polite and welcoming from the front desk staff to the assistants in the back. Dr. Narrows along with her assistant Roderick were super professional! Not only were they professional they made sure I was comfortable at all times during my visit. I got a filling today and let me just say if my lips weren’t numb I’d of sworn she did nothing. That’s how GREAT my experience was; “easy peasy”! Thank you all over on River St. - Signed a happy client :)
