This was the worst dental experience I have ever had. I went into Aspen Dental in Hutchinson to get a tooth removed. In my chart, it says that I do faint due to stress and anxiety. It’s an issue me, my family and doctor has known about for years. The dentist there told my mom that I had a seizure, then left me alone in the room while speaking with my mom. If I had a seizure, should I be alone? No. She also was incredibly rude to my mom, and my mom said we refuse to pay for anything because of the treatment she and I had received. The dentist said “Well, we will see” and walked away. She refused to finish the work and sent me home with a half pulled out tooth. (I didn’t have to pay for anything else) I was unresponsive for less than a minute, but could still hear and see everything. I was coherent 5 minutes after I regained full consciousness. Seizures don’t work like that, as I have worked with that and seen that hands on. Who is a dentist to diagnose me with a seizure disorder? When it says in my chart that I have fainting spells due to anxiety and stress, and even after my mom said the same thing she didn’t believe it. The only reason why I am giving one star is because there isn’t any lower, and because the dental assistants were so kind and helped me as much as they could. I’m very grateful they were there. One in particular. You are amazing, thank you for all you did today. You made a traumatic experience a little less terrible.

The dental assistant girls are some of the nicest people I've encountered in any medical offices. The dentist was nice but she was very very busy. They got me in the same day after making no promises about getting my problem fixed. I would definitely recommend the Hutchison location to anybody.

My name is Timothy and I had my first experience with Aspen Dental earlier this afternoon after much hesitation because I have a certain fear of dentists and have neglected my teeth for many many years the staff from start to finish made me feel very comfortable and I did not at all once feel embarrassed because of the condition of my teeth. The staff at the Hutchinson Minnesota location are awesome like I said from start to finish they treated me very well and I look forward to completing my smile with these people in the near future. Thank you

The hygienist and X-ray tech were very kind and pleasant and worked hard to advocate for me to the dentist who was rude, irritable to the staff, and dismissive to me for my tooth pain. I have red swollen gum and pus from the gum and pain in the tooth but the dentist dismissed it all and said I need a cleaning nothing more despite the other staff agreeing with me that antibiotics or something else should have been done. Will never return to this dentist.

The dental hygienists, front desk, and finance people are great! (And the only reason for the 4 stars) Sadly, the dentist here has no bedside manner and looks down her nose at people.

Had 4 cavities filled today. Everything went great! All the staff that assisted me were very professional😊

I really liked the hygienist and the person that did my X-rays. The dentist seemed impersonal and in a rush, totally understand that it’s healthcare, but the experience with the dentist did nothing to help with dental anxiety.

Good for basic cleaning, but anything beyond that please go elsewhere.
I am now paying $3,000 for crowns due to bad fillings done at Aspen. I never got money back on the filling that went wrong. I had to go to another dentist to get it fixed. The kicker? The cavity wasn't causing any pain and when showing the xray to my other dentist, they noted that the cavity would not have even been something they recommended filling at that time if it had been them.
I am sad to say that while I loved my hygienist at Aspen Dental and the x-ray specialist, my experience with the dentists was really rough. I had gone to Aspen Dental while I was home during part of the pandemic and wanted to see a dentist for a regular check-up. They noted that I had a cavity on my back tooth. The tooth didn't hurt me at all, but they recommended a cavity filling.
Unfortunately, the dentist I had for my first filling did not have a good bedside manner. When I was in pain after the first dose of Novocain, he almost acted like I was being an inconvenience.
In the end, my tooth ended up being in more pain after the filling than it had before. I waited a couple weeks (per the recommendation from the dentist) to see if the pain would go away - but it did not. When I came back in, they ran some tests on my tooth - but couldn't figure out what was wrong so they decided to try to do the filling again. They thought it was a hairline crack in the tooth due to the filling.
While the second dentist was friendlier - the cavity filling did not fix the issue. The only option given was to get a crown (that my insurance did not cover). They did not offer any kind of discount being as this was caused during a cavity filling they were doing.
I came back again when the pain wasn't going away and they told me the crown was the only option but they did not recommend it.
Cut to when I went back to my dentist in Chicago, they immediately noticed an issue with how the cavity fillings were done. They were extremely informative about what can cause the issue, recommended a crown, but also immediately discussed what to do to take care of it in the meantime. The crown filling I had with them was 10x better than the cavity fillings (which I found odd considering how much more tooth they had to take off).
In the end, while I did like the Aspen dental hygienist and would recommend going there for basic cleanings, if you need a cavity or anything beyond that, I cannot recommend Aspen in Hutchinson.

Aspen Dental in Hutchinson has helped me twice immediately with dental emergencies. Most recently they addressed a dental issue that has shown signs of damage and pain accumulated over many years. Since being treated by Aspen, I have had my first week in 15 years without a constant tension headache or migraine. I've seen headache specialists, chiropractors, eye docs, ENTs, etc. But never once was advised that a dental visit could be helpful, or even resolve my issue. I want to thank the entire crew for helping me, sincerely.

Very friendly office! I felt well taken care of throughout my visit. Everything was well explained. Upon discovering a tooth was broken the doctor explained my options. I chose to have the broken tooth extracted, however I needed the procedure done right away because of my work schedule. Once I explained my situation, the office found a slot for me within the hour, on the same day, and the doctor did a great job. He was very gentle, very calm, and currently, some nine hours later, I have very little pain. My old dentist office couldn't even see me for ten more days, Aspen Dental was just what I was looking for, and they fit my schedule perfectly. I might add that as I have no dental insurance, I was worried about the cost, but even that was far less than my normal dentist office, and makes me wonder if I need dental insurance!
