They addressed my concerns also were professional and very friendly too!

Unlike other places I've called, this office surprisingly had plenty of available cleaning openings. This by itself should have raised a red flag, since other dentistry's were fully booked out for 4-6 months.

Pros:
• The staff was very polite, and everyone went out of their way to create a nice first impression.

Peculiarities:
• The cleaning was performed by the dentist himself with help from a dental assistant. Unfortunately, in this case, a dentist plus a dental assistant didn't equal a full hygienist. Although, I can't really judge the quality of the exam itself (since I was simply complimented on good condition of my teeth instead of the usual pocket depth measurements and notes taking routine I got used to over the years in other offices); the cleaning itself was very short lived. The dentist just poked a few teeth with a dental pick and that was it. The cleaning took all but 10 minutes. Now, since my insurance covers cleanings only twice a year, I'll have to wait for six long months for a hygienist to do a proper job.
• Instead of spending precious minutes toward cleaning, the dentist applied some temporary composite to my front teeth to show me what some lite cosmetic dentistry could do to cover the visible gaps/dents imperfections. I didn't really appreciate that upsell routine, especially when it was preformed in favor of cleaning. While reading some reviews after the fact, I discovered that my experience with upsell wasn't unique.
• The office will "nickel and dime" you. They'll charge you some made up $15 PPE fees that your insurance wouldn't cover but won't even provide the basic "toothbrush/paste/flossing" kit on your way out.

Needless to say, I won't be coming back. Don't waste your time/money on the type of cleaning you can achieve by just using your electric toothbrush at home. I wish I've read some of the constructive reviews prior to coming to the office. Here is the one that's straight to the point – "Bait and switch they nickel and dime you." All is true. Looks like, most of the "glowing" reviews were solicited by either offering a complimentary fluoride treatment or potentially via some other "creative" techniques. One unsolicited advise to the dentist – please, spend more time on required dentistry and less time on gimmicks/quick hits that in the long run would prove to be more detrimental to the health of patients and the practice itself.

***Follow up***
I just received another bill for $55 for this same "service" appointment. This was in addition to $15 PPE fees I've already paid. Apparently, the showcasing of teeth straightening composite (UNSOLISITED, I have to specifically point out) was actually billed as periodontal work of some sort. So, the cleaning service (other times fully covered by my dental insurance) had costed me $70. Since they already had my credit card info on file after I paid the PPE fees, they just charged my card for $55 in addition.
I didn't authorize that charge, so I'll be entering a dispute with my credit card company. However, this is the least of the dentist's worries at this point. There are several parts here that may meet the burden of a fraudulent activity. Those will be soon reported to the insurance provider and to the Minnesota Board of Dentistry.
-Inadequate dental cleaning performed and billed.
-An upselling technique that is later being presented to the insurer as periodontal work. The patient needs to be aware of the extra charges involved and be able to make a decision before the act.
-An unauthorized credit card charge. We have to feel safe giving this information to our dental office and expect them not to abuse our trust. Maybe, next they will decide to take my credit card info with them on a Las Vegas trip?

Very professional and helpful from setting up appointment to getting to the office and explaining what they are doing. One of my better dental visits. Fun conversation too!

Jason McDowell

I have had the good fortune of having Dr. McDowell as my dentist for a very long time. He has taken care of my entire family. He has provided smile makeovers for my wife and myself. We trust his work and his advice completely, and all of his work has been outstanding. I highly recommend!

There are plenty of dentists in the area, I encourage you to choose another place. Initially, I was very fond of this office. The staff was nice, and the cleaning was sufficient. My wife and I would get our teeth cleaned, and some cavities filled here. However, like others reviews have shared, my fillings would fall out or break within a month or two of getting them. This last time was my last. They claimed my insurance would cover everything, and told me I should get new X-rays because it’s a new year for my insurance. I declined because I had gotten them the year prior. After declining the X-ray, and teeth whitening, the dentist became short and the teeth cleaning was awful. A few weeks later they sent me a bill for the teeth cleaning claiming my insurance won’t cover the basic cleaning, and sent the bill to collections. I’m grateful I declined the other services so I didn’t get charged even more. They also charge a $15 PPE fee without telling you until after the cleaning.

Cleaning appointment was wonderful. Office used the latest technology to reduce patient discomfort and was very clean and organized. Brittany the hygienest was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. She took her time to answer all of my questions and address all my concerns, showing that she truly cared about my personal dental health and it wasn't just another routine cleaning appointment with another set of teeth. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful cleaning, exam and whitening today! Britney was very knowledgeable and took great care of my teeth. The doctor was quick, efficient and detail oriented when checking my mouth. All of my questions were answered properly and with thought. I also had the in office whitening and after only a few hours I am very pleased with all results from my appointment. I can't wait to see this amazing team again!

I went in with little to no hope to save my tooth. My primary dentist told me a possible root canal. I was terrified, but Dr. MCDOWELL blew me away with his knowledge and excellent teaching style. He saved my tooth
in a PAINLESS way and empowered me with the knowledge to make a quick decision. I am a busy mom and have no time for too many visits. He took care of me in the initial visit Highly recommended, great customer service, and quick genuine care!
