Loved how nice everyone is and how amazing they are with kids. But please add changing tables to the restrooms. Had to take my 15 month old out to the car to change him.

I love Happy Smiles. This is the only place my daughter will allow anyone to look at her teeth. Angela was so nice and sweet to her. I recommend this place to anyone.

So we have used Happy Smiles since my six year old was two. I have never had anything but pleasant experiences here until now. My daughter had three cavities filled yesterday by Dr. Hill. She has had one filling in 2015 by Dr Harris that was a pleasant experience for both of us, so going in yesterday I expected the same result. This was not the case. First off, Dr. Hill came in and started to numb her gums with lidocaine, I know from personal experience these shots are the worst part, but if he had waited 15 more minutes, she would of been asleep from the gas and sedation medications....instead she screamed in pain and apparently annoyed him so he got up and walked out of the room. When he came back, the gas had done its job and she was calm and sleepy...imagine that. So he proceeds to do the fillings without incident until the last five minutes of the procedure..and instead of stopping and renumbing the areas he told her to be still and it would be over soon. I'm not one to complain so I allowed it, because she can be quite dramatic at times and they finished the procedure. Now afterwards, the only post op instructions I received were verbal instructions to watch her and not let her eat solids until the numbing meds has worn off. So we go home, she eats ice cream, yogurt, etc. Then she starts complaining of her cheek hurting. Her cheek is swollen and to my surprise, the inside looks like raw hamburger meat from where she had chewed on it apparently. So I make shift some gauze packing to put in there to keep her from further damaging her cheek. Now this morning, her cheek is still 3 times the normal size, the inside looks like one big ulcer and she is saying it hurts. Well I give her Motrin and send her to school. The school calls, she is complaining of severe pain in that cheek and is unable to fully open her mouth. So on the way, I call happy smiles to make sure this is normal and that I do not need to be doing anything other than Motrin and ice packs. The first girl I talk to asks me, "did you not get an instruction sheet with a plastic bag of gauze to use?" No, no I did not. In fact, the only paper I got was my receipt for paying them $323. So they take my information and have someone call me back. I tell them the situation and they put me on hold. Then cone back on and say that they are going to send in some antibiotic cream for me to apply to the inside of her cheek. No other instructions, no "come by and let the doctor see" no "call back tomorrow and give us an update". Nothing. I'm a nurse so I do have medical knowledge and cam certainly monitor for signs of infection, but they do not know that. They should of asked us to come in so they could physically see her injury and then give me proper instructions. Not just a "covering my ass antibiotic prescription". I am truly appalled at the lack of concern for my child's welfare and the lack of proper post operative instructions. I hate this has happened because before all of this my daughter loved going for dental check ups because she has always had pleasant experiences there. Now, she is trying to scrub her teeth, even with her cheek being raw, because she is scared to death of having to go and have another cavity fixed. I hope this was a one time mistake on the part of the clinic because I would not wish this upon anyone to have to deal with their poor child in this amount of pain. That truly could of been prevented if they had packed her mouth with gauze or told me to or anything other than just telling me to watch her.
