If I could give a negative star rating here, I would. Initially the reason for leaving this practice was due to a few things. HUGE turn over with staff. Never the same people quarterly or every 6 months. They could never schedule appointments so that my daughter and I could be seen together. More than once they cancelled my appointments same day due to lack of staff. I was over it. I decided to seek care elsewhere. So I knew I had a credit with my previous insurance. Asked more than once for the credit amount. Was told the office manager would have to call me on both occasions and never heard from her. It's now been a little over a year and I called again. The run around I got was they were STILL waiting on a check from the insurance. Supposedly the insurance had mailed a check and they never received it. So they are still waiting. Then I was told that some services were denied with my new insurance. And that is why they took my credit amount and applied it. The funny thing is that they cannot give me the amounts that were denied, but could take over $170 that was from a different insurance company and use it towards a childs routine cleaning/exam/x-rays with current insurance. Mind you, I have great insurance benefits being a federal employee. I feel they are giving me the run around due to their different responses. Office manager told me she would give me a call within 24hr after some more "digging" but It's been almost 48hr and she wouldn't take my call.

I went in for some problems with my tooth and ended up needing a root canal and crown. I was super nervous, but luckily I had Dr.Miller! She was THE KINDEST dentist I have ever had in my life. She talked to me about my fears, cracked jokes, sang to the music, and made me feel so at ease. So many dentists have made me feel judged if I had problems with my teeth but she was so kind and like, hey, life happens, but we can fix it. She made sure everything was done perfectly and ended up staying late to get it all done. She never rushed it. All the dental assistants were also so kind and wonderful! Great experience overall!

When they first opened I really liked going here. Lately it has been just chaos. A computer system or owner switch caused them to lose my x-rays from just 6 months prior, they asked me for my insurance information 4 different times prior to my appointment, and treated me like I had never been there before. They seem to have a high staff turnover now and I never see the same person which makes me feel uneasy.
The last time I went in a couple weeks ago I had a hygienist come in and poke around behind my molars and tell me I had peridontal disease and needed a deep cleaning. My teeth were just fine a few months before. I could not afford a deep cleaning so I asked for a regular cleaning for now and was told they don't do that after they already diagnosed you with peridontal disease.
They had me wait to speak to a completely different hygienist who tried to basically SELL me the deep cleaning and started haggling the price with me. I had already told him my financial situation and this really upset me and made me feel like I was at a car lot instead of dealing with someone that cares about my dental health. I ended up letting them keep my $50 deposit and left.
I got another opinion and did not even need a deep cleaning. I was also told that it's not true that they cannot do a regular cleaning once they have "diagnosed " you with peridontal disease.
Stay away.

Had a lot done today...won't get into it but was pretty anxious about it but it required about 15 shots in my mouth! OUCH! This was my first visit ever to Blue Springs Dentistry. The entire staff was awesome! Kim did the best job with my 1st procedure and was fun as well....which calmed the anxiety. Madison and Dr. Chan finished up everything else and was just as professional and awesome as Kim! If you are looking for an all star dentistry team...GO HERE!!!!

I received a crown in one day and Dr. Rowland was wonderful. I had a great experience with very little discomfort from the numbing injection . The procedure was done perfectly and pain free. Taylor the Dental Assistant did a wonderful job as well. All the staff at Blue Springs Dental as very pleasant and wonderful to work with. I highly recommend that if you are looking for high quality dental care choose Blue Springs Dental!

The reception staff is very unorganized. Apart from the one African American receptionist who is very nice and helpful, everyone else seems like it's their first day. It took me half an hour to just schedule my next appointment and check out. The oral surgeon is excellent, however, and I had a great experience with getting my wisdom teeth removed. However, when I went for my next cleaning appointment, after waiting half an hour to be brought back, it took the X-Ray tech another 30 minutes to take simple X-Rays. She had to retake almost every picture. It was very irritating on my still sensitive gums, following my wisdom teeth surgery. Then finally getting back to the cleaning area, there were 3 different people who came in and checked my gums, who eventually said I was on the brink of periodontitis and needed a $400 treatment to fix it. I reluctantly agreed, and then she said, well it will be another 30 minutes because a patient came in who doesn't come usually. I work second shift so after being at the office for 2 hours, with nothing done but X-Rays, I left because I had to go to work. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and was told I was not near as bad as Jay had said I was. They cleaned my teeth that day and my teeth are perfectly healthy after a simple cleaning. Very disappointing. They have lost a customer and I won't recommend this office to anyone else.

Dr. Rowland was amazing. She was so caring and help explain everything she was doing. Her assistant Madison was great too. I love all the employees at BS Dental. They all feel like family. Taylor, Cass and Kimmie were amazing too!

The entire staff at Blue Springs Dentistry has been amazing during my many Apts for my implant process over the last couple of months. Their knowledge and care made me feel very comfortable and at ease about the procedures and processes that needed to occur. The dental assistants are very personable and make you feel at home while everything is getting set up (thanks Taylor!) I 110% recommend going here!
