I used to love this office but in the last year it's become increasing erratic.
They seem to have a high staff turnover. I rarely see the same people in the office twice. Sometimes it's a well oiled machine. Other times it like everyone is starting on their first day. I'm not usually a person that fills out a reviews but I just had worst cleaning I've ever had, and I've had cleanings from students at dental colleges. I came in for a cleaning and a quick squeeze in to get a veneer glued back on. The cleaning was with a seemed to be an inexperienced hygienist and took well over and hour just for a normal cleaning! It took over 10 minutes just to do gum pocket depth probe alone! My cleanings usually only take 10-15 min TOTAL. I should have known it would be bad when her handler mentioned "remember to be gentle"....!! I have never had anyone jam a mirror in sideways against my gum to move it away or just grab my lip and pull it out of the way. Instead of asking me to open wider, she just wedged her hand in further. One time she just kind of levered my mouse open with the mirror! Throughout the cleaning she continuously got the pick stuck between my teeth and then twisted it to get it out. I have also never had someone scrape that hard on my teeth. It was as if she was using a paint scraper. I was afraid she was going to damage my implants. Rinsing was a whole other experience. Up the nose, across the face, down my neck. I have also never bled that much from cleaning. The bib looked like I had been in a slasher film. The handler came in several times during the last 20 minutes to check on the progress. I am assuming because it took so long. When it came to gluing the veneer back on that was a simple 15 minute process. Since the cleaning took so long, I didn't have time to discuss any insurance or options for the crown as I was late for a physical therapy appointment. I considered leaving several times during the cleaning. My mouth was sore for at least 2 days. I know everyone needs to start somewhere but this was the final straw. One bright spot the front desk is ALWAYS awesome and great to work with.

I have used Blue Springs Dentistry for many years. Recently had some emergency work done. All facets from front office to Madison (DA) to Dr. Chen provided caring and thorough service. They listen to questions regarding finances, insurance, procedures and follow through with recommendations. Thank you for restoring my “smile” confidence and ultimately overall health, that often requires preventative and maintenance for one’s dental hygiene!!!

Had a fear of dentist, haven’t gone in years. Finally went here in December. Had nothing but a great experience. They were kind, gentle, understanding, and accommodating. I have had to go in for several follow ups since December, & every time has been amazing. Highly recommend Dr. Crumbaugh & her assistants Taylor & Kristen, & as well as Cassandra.

I’ve been coming here for years and love it. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. Kimmie always does my cleaning and she is amazing. She is so personable and makes the experience enjoyable every time. Dr. Rowland did my exam today and she was very thorough and kind. I highly recommend this dentist office.

I always go over reviews before choosing a business- with that being said I saw a couple negative reviews here, but decided to try them out for myself as there were plenty of other positive ones.

With this information, I have to say, I can not understand why anyone would leave a negative review for Blue Springs Dentistry. The office is nice, the staff is incredibly friendly, patient, and understanding. They were extremely busy today and may have even been short staffed, which says a lot to me about how well they do working under pressure. All the staff work together like a well oiled machine, and no one had a bad attitude!

They were all very gentle and made sure I was comfortable the whole time! I would definitely recommend Blue Springs Dentistry!

My daughter had extractions done in Nov of 2020. At time of service, I was told how much out of pocket I would owe. Also at that time, I was told, I could make payments for that balance. Well. payments didn't happen and they charged me the full amount the same day. My daughter has 3 insurances. Fast forward to 8 almost 9 months later. I have contacted the office several times, constantly told the manager is out or someone was going to look into my requests and still have no answers. The office owes me over 300.00 for a refund and they keep throwing me around. I DO NOT recommend going to this office unless you want to spend numerous hours getting back money you overpaid.

I have been coming to this office for several years and I have had nothing but great experiences until now. I am very disappointed that I had to find a new provider when simple empathy and respect would have retained me as a patient.

With my unpredictable work schedule, Saturday appointments are ideal for me. After my last Saturday appointment 6 months ago I booked my next one for Saturday 3/06. On Friday 3/05 I got a a call from the office saying that there was no hygienist scheduled for the next day, but that I could reschedule for Saturday 3/20. No problem - things happen, so I rescheduled. Then on Friday 3/19 I got another call saying that there was no doctor or hygienist available for my scheduled appointment the next day, and that they were wither closed or booked solid for all Saturdays for the next several months.

I was offered a weekday appointment which I declined, as I specifically requested one for Saturday. The person I spoke to did not show any concern for my inconvenience, instead she just talked about how they are always booked solid for Saturdays. I said, right - you were booked with me for Saturday, for an appointment that I made 6 months in advance which had already been moved once due to your office's scheduling error. Why was this not being taken into consideration? I let her know I would be seeking a new provider who could accommodate my need for Saturday appointments, to which she replied "Good luck finding any other offices open on Saturdays."

I did in fact identify a new provider with Saturday availability, and I look forward to seeing if they will be a long term fit for my family's needs going forward. It's just such a shame that this office chose to show me such indifference as a patient, and a complete disregard for how their sloppy scheduling errors caused me such an inconvenience. It did not have to end up like that.

Doctor Rowland is a fine Dentist. She follows all the precautions available to keep the visit as safe as possible. She takes the time to examine you thoroughly and made me feel like I received the care she'd give to her own family. I had a dental implant and its preforming beautifully.
Taylor was her assistant and she wiped everything down with disinfectant and showed personal interest and professionalism with a warm conversation. This is my new dental office for sure!!! Five stars
