Gorges Dental, Anthony Raggi, DMD

Being a former Dental Hygienist and Dental Clinic Instructor, I'm fussy when choosing a new dental practice. Dr Raggi and his staff have turned out to be a good fit for me. Samantha is upbeat, engaging, and helpful at the front desk. Melissa, the hygienist, is kind, has a gentle touch, and would be terrific for anxious clients. Dr Raggi is patient, takes time to educate each patient about the state of their mouth and his plan for their care. He is highly skilled, his techniques are excellent, and his choice of dental labs is a good one. He is genuinely interested in his clients and went out of his way to fit me into his schedule when I had an unexpected problem right before my son's wedding. I enjoy my visits, and if I was still able, I'd happily work there. And, Dr Raggi is an Avengers fan!

Dr. Raggi, Samantha, Annette, and Tucker 🐕 were all AMAZING. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough! It is very upsetting to lose a front tooth. After all, that’s what one sees when you smile. Dr. Raggi and his staff makes the whole experiences of pulling the tooth to getting a partial very comfortable and all options were explained well with no pressure,

It was a wonderful experience being in Dr. Raggi’s office. All of the staff were kind and helpful and I loved how warm and inviting it was for a dental office including two sweet dogs that helped any nervous patients. Brilliant!

Our family of six moved to New Hampshire two and half years ago, and started seeing Dr. Raggi shortly thereafter. We were very pleased by his knowledge , compassion, attentive care, outstanding personality that made our four boys feel at ease, and his way of explaining the most complicated technical things with easy everyday language. Our family was really sad when Dr.Raggi told us he was moving to New York, i almost convinced my husband to commit to a long drive in order to be seen by him. Good doctors are not uncommon, but great doctors with great personality are rare. Dr. Raggi is the whole package. We truly miss him and really wish all the lucky patients of Ithaca to enjoy and cherish the best dentist that anyone could possibly have.

I had a dental emergency and called dentists all over Ithaca for a same-day appointment. Everyone else said the earliest they could fit me in was 1-2 weeks from now, but Dr. Raggi’s office was able to adjust their schedule and expertly treat me within hours of my call. The staff was the kindest I’d ever met, and Tucker the pug brightened my experience all the more.

It's taken me 30 years, but I finally found a dentist I feel like I can trust. I had face and jaw surgery years ago, and Dr. Raggi was the first dentist to spend time explaining to me how this could create some of the symptoms I was currently having with my teeth, and how that would affect his diagnosis and treatment plan. I've seen plenty of dentists throughout the years– paid extra because they were supposed to be "the best"– but nobody has come close to my experience at Gorges Dental. It's such a game-changer to have a dentist who isn't trying to overcharge, & over-procedure– but is extremely thorough and even operates from a holistic framework. The whole staff is caring, calming, and friendly. I am very grateful.

I love bringing my 4 year old son to Gorges Dental because they treat him with respect and care. They are extremely open with me about the steps they are going to take to complete the procedure. They have "prizes" and themed sunglasses to keep the bright light out of his eyes, which makes the experience much more enjoyable and personable than a typical dentist!
