Carolina Smiles Family Dental

The only bad thing I can say about Carolina Smiles is that Dr. Cowart retired yesterday.. I was probably one of his last patients. I'm soooo sad. He was the best. I'm sure the other doctors are just as good, but I will miss Dr. Cowart's gentle straightforward manner.

Wonderful - people, care, everyone from the moment you walk in to next visit. Dentistry is top notch, but the people who work there make every visit special. They care about us, our health, our costs/billing. So glad I found them.

We had to have an emergency appt for my 6 year old. They got us in within 20 mins of my call. My daughter was terrified, she was shaking and crying. Dr Maranda and Mrs Nancy were amazing. Mrs Nancy was so patient with my hysterical daughter. Nancy listened to my daughter, but more importantly she got my daughter to listen to her. She finally calmed her down enough to get through having a tooth pulled and a cavity filled. So when we came back today, you can imagine our relief when we saw it was Mrs Nancy again. She seemed genuinely happy to see my daughter and as a mother it's a great relief to know your child will be taken care of. She again used her calm demeanor to help reduce my daughters anxieties. Dr Miranda was even consoling my daughter. Such a sweet picture I took of him holding her hands while Mrs Nancy arranged some things for Addy. The care they shown my daughter (who can be a drama queen) was the reason we will be life long patients. Thank you soooo much Carolina Smiles. I have recommended you in the past and will continue to do so.

Never thought I would LIKE to go to the dentist! But the entire staff makes this such a good experience. Thank you. Feels good to have my tooth care under control.

Complete disregard to comply with state regulations and the unemployment process regarding former employees. Legal action is being pursued and until the matter is fully resolved this rating will serve as a warning to the public about the atrocious way this company is run. There is also no way that a legitimate business has a 4.9 out of five-star rating, from 100+ reviews, anywhere, in any industry, unless there is clearly some bribe, discount, or personal gain being exchanged for nearly "perfect" scores, time after time.

Very efficient and friendly office. We were signed in promptly, seen promptly, everyone introduced themselves and were welcoming, and they did a very thorough cleaning and examination and explained everything and answered questions. Highly recommend them.

I needed some work done and they got me right in the next morning! Super friendly staff, great dentists, and great atmosphere! Awesome place to go for your teeth!

Dr. Cowart took care of me for years, and helped me when others couldn't, or wouldn't. He was way ahead of his time compared to others in the field. Root canals, apicoectomy, surgical extractions, and wisdom teeth removal, all things that others would send to specialists, at a much greater cost. He even took on a six tooth bridge, a job that most others wouldn't touch at the time. An extremely intelligent man, he had worked at Ecusta with my family, and was just like everybody else, they said you couldn't help but like him. He never had the, I have more than you, so i'm better than you mentality, very down to earth, just a good Christian family man, he had a drive to help others in need, was a positive role model to younger boys at Temple Baptist Church, and took mission trips to do dental work for the less fortunate abroad, and would work with you in any way he could, to help you to be healthy. He never forgot where he came from, one in a million, and i'm extremely blessed that God crossed our paths. He was different, because he cared. Thank You Joe, I am truly indebted to you. God Bless

Was going to write a separate review, but you can only leave one, so i'll just add to to this one.
I was going to write this review first, but thought I needed to take the time first, and thank Dr. Cowart for everything he has done for me and my family over the last 35+ years.

Dr. Van. I had a very bad toothache and called and they had to work me in with the new dentist at the time Dr. Van, my wife and daughter had both seen him and said he was great. He came in, made me feel comfortable, very easy going, genuine nice guy, he took care of the problem right away and made a very bad time better. Since then, he has taken the time to help get things fixed that I didn't think was possible. He took a special interest in doing a very big job that he knew had to be done, he knew how worried I was about it, and was more worried about me and my situation, than anything else. I know if he hadn't done what he did for me, and it was a very special kind thing he did, I would have lost most of my bottom front teeth, my self esteem, and self worth, and I am forever indebted to him for what he did. He is the very best, bar none. A very good hearted Christian family man, and friend. one in a million.

Great bunch of dentists and excellent staff. Always friendly. Very good safety measures during COVID. Highly recommend.
