Modern Family Dental Care - Northlake

Dr Haynes and his assistants are beyond super! I just had two beautiful crowns put in and Eva took excellect care of me. I recommend them without reservation. They're right across from Concord Mills.

The office is very clean and the staff is extremely friendly. The hygienist do an excellent job, and I feel very comfortable with Dr. Rogers. I would highly recommend visiting Modern Family for your next dental appointment.

I attempted to go here once and i had a horrible experience. I had an appointment scheduled 2 months in advance, I was going to use one of their groupons, I was told multiple times I was able to redeem it when I got there. It was a 45 minute ride one way just to get there and when i got there they would not let me use the groupon. The lady I spoke to over the phone 2 months ago denied what she told me about being able to use the groupon the day of my appointment. Not only was i not allowed to use the groupon but moth receptionists were rude when i was confused about the situation and what they told me 2 months ago vs what they were telling me then. They were not willing to help me and I would never recommend them to anyone, not professional. The ladies at the front desk could at least learn some manners when working with ATTEMPTED NEW clients

The staff at Modern Family dental care on Mount Holly Huntersville Road is always very attentive. They most definitely care about your oral health. I have found them very easy to work with and I am confident in their quality of care.

Great family dentist. Staff friendly and helpful. They take their time to explain dental care services. And they offer different types of payments options. Including flex pay and dental insurance. Taking my whole family there.

Welcoming, helpful personnel, especially regarding help with insurance claims.

Patient Beware!!! If I could give them negative stars I would...

I had a few visits with this dental office before I realized how awful and unprofessional they were. First, they over charged me by nearly $500 for 3 dates of service. When I received my insurance EOB, totaled the costs, realized I paid them way more than the EOB states I owe, I immediately called them. They told me they hadn't been paid by the ins co. yet and that they will give me a refund once they've been paid.

It is now 4mos later and they still have not given me a refund.

But wait, it gets worse!!! One of the visits I had a root canal procedure in early January. I told them twice after the procedure I was still in pain. They told me the crown simply needed adjusting. Turns out, the root canal was done wrong. It was a molar which I learned has 3 canals and they only completed 2. So for 2 months after the procedure, the infection continue to spread until it hit a fever pitch. I ended up with a swollen face, 2 urgent care visits, an ER visit, a walk in Dentist Clinic, and finally an Endodontist visit later before the problem was diagnosed.

Not to mention that I then missed a week of work due to pain and/or being incoherent due to all the prescription narcotics I was taking to manage the pain (not fun when you've never taken these in your life!!), I also had to take 2 antibiotics over the course of 2 weeks. The pain was so bad that OTC ibuprofen wouldn't work anymore.

So now, after my INS says it paid MFDC $1025 on the root canal alone, I paid them about $1000 out of pocket when I only owed $700 per INS (i.e. still waiting on my refund for overpayment and its basically May in a few days).

I had to have the root canal completely redone by an Endodontist (2 visits to correct MFDC's work), then see another dentist for a permanent filling. I was told the crown is no good and will also need a replacement. So more expenses to come...

I contacted MFDC to tell them of the failed procedure, and do you know what they've done so far, or how many times they've contacted me...Nothing and not once...

I was told multiple times that they were waiting for their finance person to respond, and well they must be on a long lunch because the few weeks I chased them consistently, they could never get a response.

I was out of town at that point, and couldn't visit them in person. I will do so now. You'll probably see another update regarding my in person visit after this because I don't imagine them being any better.

I decided to give this practice a chance because is near my house. So I tried to switch over to modern family dental. I had a cleaning appointment. They did not do it instead sent two girls talking about products Selling me stuff you don't need. The dentist came to assess my teeth and said I had cavities. Don't LET THEM MAKE A HOLE ON YOUR TEETH . THEY HAVE POOR JUDGEMENT)Assessment. I went to other dentist they said I don't have cavities .. be careful don't let them fool you get a second opinion otherwise once you have fillings there is not turning back ... Story doesn't end there . Don't buy anything they offer even if they pressure you into it with their sales technics. They don't have a return policy for a reason. Not even for the same day. If you go here get a secise opinion by other dentist. This was a horrible experience; in fact, there are more things they have done. What I want touyto take away is dont let them take advantage of you and get a second openion .they could have ruined my teeth

Staff is always really nice. Dr. Rogers is also gentle considering it's my mouth. I haven't been to any other locations but I definitely recommend this one!

I have been going to this place for my last two visits. I got cleaning and a general checkup done here on both occasions and had an excellent experience. The cleaning was of the highest quality and the evaluation done was great as well. Highly recommended!
