I want to comment on Dr. Adam's "We cater to cowards" slogan. We have a special needs son that has in his younger years, had a horrible memory with another dentist, I was told to take him elsewhere because they wouldn't help. On our first visit with Harvard Dental Group the girls took the time with my son to explain what things were and answer questions and they ended up earning his trust. That was a huge step but that only opened the door. His next visit resulted in a root canal. After sitting in that chair for 1 1/2 hours, my son came bouncing down the hall thrilled with what he had just accomplished.
Dr. Adams and Jessica went above and beyond to help my son and our family is grateful. He is no longer a coward and is actually looking forward to his next visit.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH Bob H Glide

I believe that I was knowingly given fraudulent information when I was looking for a new dentist. I asked if they took my insurance, and was assured that they did. I WAS NOT told that they were not in my insurance network. The initial work that was done (check up and x-rays) should have been completely covered and were not. I was charged $206.00. After I had some filling done, I noticed that I was charged considerably more than I thought I should have been. That is when I was told they were not in my network.

My wife has Alzheimer's disease. As you might expect, she has a hard time following instructions. At our last visit, I was in one room and she was in an adjoining room. So I could hear what was going on in her room. The hygienist who was cleaning mywife's teeth was doing a wonderful job. At some point, I said to my hygienist, "She (my wife's hygienist) certainly has patience." And my hygienist responded, "We all do." I highly recommend the Harvard Dental Group. You won't find a more skilled and compassionate group.

I needed to have an old crown, that had broken off, replaced. They got me in for an appointment within a day of my phone call. Dr. Anderson did a great job on the prep work for a new crown (with a minimum of discomfort), and installed the permanent crown within two weeks. Both the front and back office staff were great.

I had been a patient of Dr. Orr at Harvard Dental Group before moving to Eugene 10 years ago, and he always put me at ease with his care. I returned to Roseburg a little over a year ago. A few days ago, I began suffering from a living tooth breaking apart, resulting in increasing pain. I went online to the Harvard Dental Group web site and, to my dismay, learned that Dr. Orr no longer practiced there. Being unfamiliar with the other dentists, I again struggled with my dental phobia. After reading through gobs of patient reviews of various dental offices in town, I decided to return to Harvard Dental Group. I built up the nerve to call them, and was scheduled for an emergency visit within a couple hours that same day. Dr. Anderson put me right at ease! He gave detailed explanations of my options, answered my questions, and did not make me feel like an idiot because of my phobia. On the contrary, he made my otherwise traumatic experience more comfortable and skillfully and carefully removed the broken tooth. During the procedure, he suspected an issue with a neighboring tooth and, after discussing the issue with me, he pulled it without charging me for it! It ended up being a "problem child" harboring an infection I didn't know I had! I was given thorough post-op instructions and expectations. And they swiftly set me up with a payment plan to ease the financial burden generally expected with dental visits. Bottom line: I left there feeling glad I went back!

I was in massive pain and all my phone dentists wouldn't help and even tho it cost me 250 without insurance it was well worth it. Exposed nerve and an abcess under 3 teeth and they extracted the tooth that was exposed and fixed me up quick. 3 days of pain stopped in 30 minutes of being there. Best dentist ever

As a person who suffers from severe odontophobia, I am offended and TRIGGERED by the ad that keeps popping up on my Skype window with their slogan. "We Cater To Cowards" is a HORRIBLE marketing ploy. They want you to use their services in spite of the fact that they think you are a COWARD? That is disrespectful and unkind. I have had this phobia since I was 5 years old, and got it as a result of circumstances beyond my control. I have faced many difficult and frightening things in my life, with my bravery and determination. The fact that I cannot control one phobia does not make me a coward. Believe me, if I could stop being terrified of the dentist, I would.

I will continue to use Willamette Dental Group's Dr. Nguyen, who NEVER tries to shame me for needing special care whenever he sees me. He is the most gentle, caring and RESPECTFUL dentist I have ever seen.
